  • Prayer For Repent

I would like the lords forgiveness. Yesterday I accidentally spilled capri sun onto my bible and now the pages are all sticky and I can't open the book because the pages my rip. If the pages rip then i'm probably going to go to hell and that's bullshit because it was a accident.

So please brothers and sisters, pray for me. Thanks and god bless you all.

Stop blaming others for your own lazyness. You are fooling no one here. Never forget that God knows and sees everything.

To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!

Go see your local Baptist Pastor, explain your predicament. Do NOT attempt to open your present Bible.

The Bible is the most sacred book in Christianity. Because of its holy status, many observant Christians (and even non-believers) are hesitant to dispose of it in the same way they might dispose of everyday waste. Generally, Christian...

Full of good advice. Never forget, you are dealing with The Holy Word of God. There may be billions of Bibles in the world but, obviously, each is filled with The Holy Spirit.

          Even if it's not a KJV1611?

This seems to have a whiff of idolatry to me? I thought it was the Word that has value; the words are just inkmarks on paper.

To OP: I'd obtain a new KJV1611 ASAP. If the old one has sentimental value, keep it on a shelf, otherwise recycle it.

Only the KJV1611 has any sort of value whatsoever. The other "Bibles" are complete garbage, and may be used to wipe one's backside.

Yes I would never want to damage my KJV1611. It is my guide to heaven and gives me the justice to smite down the non believers that stand against the divine grace of God almighty.

              Amen brothers and sisters, amen.

You should purchase a new one. Or maybe even 2 or 3 new ones, since you obviously don't know how to properly handle a Holy Bible.

Don't keep them all in the same place though. You don't want all of them to get ruined at the same time.

Nor would I mine, it cost $20. My point was that it may be unwise to consult a damaged Bible. What if the part that God wants you to look at is missing or unreadable? Will you just ignore the smudged parts, or make it up as you go along? While you're busy trying to figure out what God wants, you may look up to find yourself in a confessional.

Fickleness and carelessness with the book of God (KJV1611)is not indicative of a dedicated True Christian(tm).

                        Why were you so careless

True, I still have the Bible I was given for my 6th birthday. It's tucked away now in my treasures box since the binding is starting to go and it was a gift from my mother, but it's still in decent shape.

If a Christian child can take care of a Bible, you would think that someone old enough to be on this forum could.

B.I.G. - Correct because you are a disciplined True Christian™ whose care, love and respect for Jesus is clearly reflected in the care, love and respect of your Bible

JustEatIt has an obvious a lack of self discipline and respect for the Lords Book

I would be guessing that this particular KJV1611 in his possession will have been sorely desecrated by chubby fingers coated in grease from the remnants of countless burgers, copious amounts of fries and buckets of chicken

Is there not a law or statute against such desecration and vandalism of the KJV 1611 ????

I dare say that The Lord would Protect a KJV16611 from any damage as long as your Faith were strong. “His Noodly Appendage” would merely sit there going cold.

This is pure conjecture and is based on no proof whatsoever, nor sound research. May I suggest that the now damaged Bible was not KJV611?
