I feel I should talk about what this thread is about though. I am not going to specifically talk about the topic itself, but I just wish to address some things. I have seen several (maybe 3-6) posts countering all of the points made in the first 2 Posts made by Mr. Poppendorfer, and no posts countering these counter posts. Although I do believe that you can respond to what you want, just to ignore something entirely is not okay. I am not saying I personally like the game or even playing video games at all, although I can see why people do enjoy it. I find it strange that people ignore things that prove them wrong, instead of countering with even more information to prove the other person wrong. I do not wish to cause an argument or be banned, I just wanted to insert some advice for the future.

Dear Aleksandra, here is the thing: for us, the Holy Bible is the absolute evidence - in fact, it is the only evidence that is worth discussing. I would be much obliged if you could point out which of the ignored arguments that you speak of were real arguments (using the Holy Bible as supporting evidence).

You've highlighted "hate you", but isn't Jesus supposed to be forgiving?

All that forgiveness that is supposed to be forthcoming in the Bible starts with the admission of sin, the acknowledgement that only Jesus' blood sacrifice can cleanse sin, the specific request to be forgiven of said sin, and then is followed with a life of obedience to God in which one does not continue to sin.


John 8:11
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Believe it or not, neither do we. We just want people to wake up and smell the fire and brimstone. And by that I mean to read the whole Bible and look at it with clear eyes.

Dear Miss Aleksandra,

Mr. Poppendorfer gave us valid reasons to be extremely cautious of this game. These valid reasons are based on the Bible. None of the gaming cultists have given us any Biblical reason to dismiss the Scriptural points made by Mr. Poppendorfer. The extra-Biblical arguments are irrelevant, there is no reason to even examine them. Why read these long unpunctuated walls of text when we can find answers in the Bible!?

I still consider myself a good christian. I have read some of the posts here on this thread, and although I don't read the bible every day, when there is time away from work, usually before bed, and when I feel the need to I do read the bible, although it is not a new one, it is an old one, from when my Great Great Grandmother moved here from Russia, so i do not know if it is a current one or up to date with modern standings.

My dear, there is no need for an "up-to-date" Bible with "modern standings".

Also, unless you only eat every few days, you need to read the Bible more.
