it kind of upsets me how mean these people can be. i don't think this is what god intended. a lot of the people on this forum are saying they believe that they are being kind, and trying to get people to heaven, but laughing at people that go to hell is not the way to show people the right way. i am also a christian, and believe what jesus says is true. i have not read the entire bible yet, so I'm weak on proof, but didn't jesus say view everyone as equal? shouldn't it be god who judges people and not people that judge people?

If you have not read the Bible, you cannot claim to be a Christian.

Paul did say that believers in Jesus are all equal in God's eyes. Nowhere does the Bible say that everyone is equal. That would be the declaration of independence.

Jesus tells us not to judge hypocritically. It would be like me telling you not to play Team Fortress 2, while I'm a huge gamer who has spent thousands of hours playing.

That is totally not the case. I spend my time reading God's Word.

If you wrongly believe that Jesus says we cannot judge or that only God can judge others, please read this sermon which explains Christian judgment in a clear, easy-to-read manner.

since i believe in the teachings of Jesus christ, i am in fact a christian. please tell me where in the bible does it say you have to read the bible to become christian.

The English title of the book is simply the translation of the Hebrew title, Mishle Shlomo -- Proverbs of Solomon.

Obviously, of course, not everything in the Book of Proverbs was written by Solomon, since some sections explicitly name another author. Only Proverbs 1:1-24:22 was written by Solomon.
Proverbs 24:23-34 are attributed to "the Wise".
Proverbs 25:1-29:27 are Solomon's, but they were collected and recorded by "Hezekiah's men".
Proverbs 30:1-33 was written by Agur, who is otherwise unknown in scripture.
Proverbs 31:1-31 was written by Lemuel, also unknown elsewhere in scripture.

The portion you questioned was in Proverbs 1, a portion of the Book of Proverbs directly ascribed to Solomon himself.

why would i do something like that in the first place. as i said, i follow all the sermons. i listen attentively to what our priest is saying. i dont even own an iPhone. and i assume your talking about easter? theirs not many lessons based around easter except the lord rose on the third day and that was his greatest miracle of all.
