            Ms. Crow,

In adult discussion a simple assertion of an opinion is a very weak argument. Unless you have some evidence to back up your claim, I'm afraid that we're simply going to dismiss it. Your material (at the moment) fails when it comes to sample size (N=1) and references (N=0). You may have also noticed that in this Forum the references that we take most seriously are Biblical references. I have here one that disagrees with you.

            Zechariah 8:5
And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

Yes, playing may be OK on the streets, but not idle gaming in a closed room that lures solitary youths into self-abuse. In addition, this a verse that is communicated directly from God. We take His opinions more seriously than yours.

You think you are fine. A sensation of self assured ease is often one of the early warning signs of a person walking away from Jesus. The Devil tempts by masturbating your mind with thoughts of pleasure. Until BAM! It is over, you are left there sitting, all alone with your controller in your sticky hand and on the screen, a big splotchy 'GAME OVER'.

We know dragons are really another form of Satan (read Revelation, chapter 12). Also from what I heard, it takes place in a Nordic country like Norway or Iceland, so there will probably a lot of norse god worship in the game as well.

And I've read it is being released on 11/11/11. That is some pagan numerology right there.

I think it goes without saying that you should not even play this game.

                  Dear Miss Nirvana,

I find your claim "I love everyone" most confusing. How do you usually express your love? Is it customary to insult those you love, as according to the best of our knowledge, you love Rev. Osborne, because he is obviously among "everyone". How is your love towards our Lord reflected A. in your post and based on B. what the Lord tells us to do?

                  Exhibit A. Quoted above.
                  Exhibit B. A verse:
                  Ephesians 4:31

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Your question is well taken. No, the Bible does not tell us to love everyone. Check this out> 2 Corinthians 6:14. It tells us to love other Christians (example-Psalm 119:63). As one who is clearly hostile towards Christians, that would obviously not include you. Also, I must tell you that strong language is never welcome.

In addition to your hostility, your rudeness is on display here. Would you barge into a conversation between strangers on the street with your foul language? I will wager the answer is no, unless you seek a beating. We ask that all who come here make an introduction in our introduction section. Tell us of your failed search for salvation. We will help you get back on track, even though you are currently and unsaved wretch. Our mission is to lead you to salvation, no matter how unpleasant you may be.

I know what religious freedom means, sweetie. It means that we are free to believe what the Holy Bible tells us to believe.

Hello, I am a Christian as well as a retro gamer. I mostly play games from the Nintendo Entertainment System. For example I play a game called Mario Bros. Note that I didn't say Super Mario Bros.

The Original Mario Bros is about plumbers trying to fight their way through the sewers while also defeating evil turtles and crabs that are trying to kill you along with avoiding fireballs that fly towards you.

I honestly see nothing wrong with the game I have just described.

That's great, but as you are completely unknown here (you didn't even make an intro thread, like you were specifically directed to in your welcoming email), your opinion is WORTHLESS.

I trust you will correct your oversight soon.

Maybe then people will have half a reason to care what some anonymous rando on the internet thinks. Probably not, but might be worth a shot, huh?

Except you just did say it. I've got a 'retro' game for you that's been played since even before my day, it's called "Keep Out of Hell," the game is to avoid the devil through worship of the LORD ALMIGHTY. Note that I did say the LORD ALMIGHTY, aka JESUS CHRIST, and let me tell you that he certainly is super! It's really easy, all you have to do is follow the LORD's instructions and not be a hellbound sinner. You get bonus points for every other person you get to play the game. You already have the first step done, calling yourself a Christian. You just need to follow step two and actually be one instead of arguing for petty sin. How's that for a game? Are the stakes high enough to keep you interested?

I am very familiar with "The Mario Brothers," although right off the bat, we are faced with the sin of pride. Why are they the Mario brothers? One of them is named Mario and the other Luigi. Is their last name Mario? Is his name Mario Mario, brother to Luigi Mario? Apparently sin doesn't just send you to hell, but is also quite confusing.

Let me tell you, if I heard that my son spent inordinate amounts of time in a sewer with his brother eating mushrooms, you better believe I would take my boys out behind my wood shed and they would have the fear of GOD put into their backsides quick as can be! Mushrooms may "dissolve your ego boundaries and lead to a spiritual awakening," but you know where you will awaken? Hell! The last thing my boys need is to learn about values from some greasy Italian trying to relive his days on his high school long jump team through psychedelics, and they certainly don't need to have time taken away from valuable hours that could be spent witnessing or in Bible study.

The Original Mario Bros is about plumbers trying to fight their way through the sewers while also defeating evil turtles and crabs that are trying to kill you along with avoiding fireballs that fly towards you.
Yes, yes, we are all well aware of the original game that came from some Chinese businessman's shroom trip while he was bowing down to his oriental idols (Boo-duh, most likely) and teaching his children to reject Christ by learning math instead of righteousness. But hey, I suppose the devil needs accountants in Hell, doesn't he?

I honestly see nothing wrong with the game I have just described.
That is precisely why you are not fit to lead others to the LORD. Luke 6:39 "And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?" If you are truly a Christian, leave it to the professionals who see sin clearly and always!
