Of course you wouldn't. There are so many passages like this from the bible, but you choose to ignore them, and pick and choose for what it convenient for you. People choose religion because they are insecure, afraid of death, or need religion in order to be a good person. I don't believe in god and I don't cheat, steal, murder, I love my parents, my family, I donate money to good causes, I help people who are in need, and I don't need some god to tell me do this. Of course you do, because you are not good at heart, so you need to be threatened with eteneral hell damnation for eternity so scare you into being good. It's pathetic. Not saying that all Christian's are like that, My parents are very religious, as are many people I know and who are friends with, but your Baptist Christian ways are blackening the souls of good people and I feel sorry for you.

I have never seen such twisting around of the words of the Bible. You people must have an IQ of around 50 (and that's being generous) because you can't think for yourself you have to refer to a book that was (supposedly) written thousands of years ago and you think that somehow times haven't changed and it still applies to life today.

God, Jesus, higher power, whatever is up there - I believe in it, but I don't think he's sitting there with a magnifying glass going "Oh gosh, Bob stopped smoking and started vaping to better himself - straight to hell! That assumption is ludicrous and unfounded until you start spending countless days / weeks analyzing every single verse and saying "Oh, if I twist this I can make vaping look bad"

I am no Bible expert and don't claim to be but didn't the Bible also say it was ok to beat your slaves?
