The people in my family spell it Cohen for some reason. As you can see in my avatar I don't look Jewish at all. I just look 100% European.

I'm not. I was just wondering if I should learn Hebrew to understand the bible better. I also happen to have a Jewish sounding name. A lot of people on here obsess about that.

Think about it: the best way for Jesus to spread His message is in the most prevalent language (American).

I'm pretty confident that the most powerful being in the Universe who has presided over everything for nearly 7000 years can get the REAL message to to people in the appropriate language.

You see, Greek or Arabic or whatever language the Bible may have been written in was okay for mankind when he was little more than a goatherd, but nowadays with people being more sophisticated with microwaves and Nintendos and the like a more technical language is more appropriate.

That's why American has more words in it: because it is better!

Hence the Bible(KJV1611) being the only accurate version because it is in the best language for communicating complex information.

So you see, there is no more reason to lean Yiddish than to Sumerian.

There isn't that many Irish people in my family. Just a few on my dad's side of the family. Most of my family is American. My parents just moved here because of the healthcare. I'm not spastic. I'm perfectly normal.

Yes, Mr.Xspazzbo. I am Harsha Shah. I am very interested in different religions. I am a lazy writer so I have not posted very much lately but I have been reading a lot about christianity in this forum. I am especially appreciating the possibility of interacting with individual christians that take the bible very seriously. Yes. I hope I am not offending you but perhaps you might provide me with some links to material regarding judaism, your faith, eh? We are discussing different faiths at the school where I am teaching. We a of course reading stuff about judaism also but I would like to have some recommendations from the inside of the community. Yes.It is most interesting as a religion as it is the ancestor of all christianity and christianity developped from judaism. Yes. It is so beautiful that people of different faiths are interacting here, yes!

I don't "nuke" my food. In part due to where the things came from, yes. But right there in John we read

John 1

What I don't want to do is cook my food with God. But is it? If as we read He is light, or at least what seems like light to men, then is it right to zap beef with one of His wave lengths? It's there in the chart, if it comes out right, in the long wave bit.

This is the light of men, what we see as or what we call "light" and in John we learn that this is God. And God is not a stove. If we cook with God is that not to say we take His name in vain? I think so.
