I follow the teachings of Pastor Anderson with the Faithful Word Baptist Church. I came to find Jesus by revelation and finally by faith.
    My favorite bible verse:

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
    Matthew:5:8

Welcome, friend. What shall we call you? How is it with Christians in your neighborhood? Are you menaced?

We are servants of the Lord here and friendly. We are anxious to hear the story of your adventures with Jesus.

    God Bless!

Well, hello, dear, and to our Godly forum!

Here at Landover we used to admire the Faithful Word Baptist Church, unfortunately, Pastor Anderson is no longer welcome as he became the most recent flat earth denier.

Verily, Sister! But it is wonderful that Anderson's congregation is finally finding a Truly™ Bible-believing church. Finding us is extremely good news for our new friend!

His ideas are mostly sound but that is unfortunately not adequate (James 2:10). In addition to the delusion you mentioned, he also advocates post-tribulation Rapture! Why would Jesus put His faithful servants through all that inconvenience when He has promised us THIS:

          1 Thessalonians 4:17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

          Yours in Christ,

            Re: Introduction

Thank you. Call me Humbleconvert, because it reminds me that I don't know a lot about Christianity and there are others I could learn from.

My neighbors are mostly Christians and are very nice. I am usually very busy and don't have a lot of free time to spend with my neighbors. They are very quiet people too.

I want to share how I came to Christ, but it is a very long story; it was a seven year ordeal. I'll have to share it some other time. I have come to understand that this is actually true. I believe wholeheartedly.

I understand that it must feel a bit disappointing that Pastor Anderson doesn't think the world is flat; there are some things I don't agree with Pastor Anderson on and that's ok.
Even within your own congregation, you will see some people will hold slightly different view points. We each have the Holy Ghost to help us understand scripture. I think that it is ok for you, individually, to read your bible and let the Holy Ghost help you understand. Sister, it is far better for everyone to read their bible and let the words speak than to just believe what someone else says. Because if we let everyone tell us what to believe, we would think that the old testament law isn't applicable or even more blasphemous, that salvation is by works. That's what some Christians believe (works), and they are not saved unfortunately; they are ignorant because they don't read their bible. As a consequence, each person will have a slightly different understanding but if each person reads their bible, it will only be slight. I am sorry for your feelings because I heard Anderson's words and they were quite rude.

My name is Sara, but call me humbleconvert. I live in Minnesota, I'm a woman and I am 23 years old.

As for post tribulation raptor, I don't know what to say. I have to read my bible more to decide if I believe it is pre or post. However I will say this, I had a dream yesterday with someone saying the exact thing you said. If God is willing to kill fetuses, babies, pregnant women and wipe away whole cities, I don't think I'll hedge my bets on a sentence starting with "Why would Jesus.." or "Why would God..".
I don't have strongly held beliefs on the subject because I haven't had a chance to study revelations, but please do study it and enlighten me. I always appreciate being corrected or given advice or knowledge.

It is good to see a real Christian come among us for a change. While it is our intention to provide a safe harbor for the righteous, most who come here do so to attack Christians. We get Swedes, Roman Catholics, Democrats and every other kind of wretch here . You have reached a fairly advanced age to still be unmarried. I assume you are a spinster since you did not mention a husband. I hope you have your father's permission to make contact here. Do tell of life in Minnesota. I believe that is the state that has sent Al Franken to the Senate. The Devil must be strong there.

Also, if raptors come, I believe it will be during the tribulations.

Welcome. Thank you for your passive and positive thread. It is a rarity lately. However I must personally disagree with your statement above. IMHO I have never read anyone in here voicing different viewpoints. There is only ONE BIBLE. At worst, I may of read someone stating something that needed to be corrected, and corrected it has been with nothing more said.

Believing the world is a sphere is buffoonery. This Anderson fellow needs to reconsider his calling. However his blasphemy hasn't seemed to have affected you to adversely as you are extremely polite and I pray passive with being corrected. By a True Christian™.

It is a pleasure to have you among young humble.

                  Love you!

haha it is true! Al Franken supports evil policies and liberals are nearly violent here! Though, a lot of Minnesotans are fairly religious, we get liberal zealots because of the University of Minnesota and there are a lot of them coming from other states. It doesn't help that most Minnesotans simply don't care what happens in government, because they homeschool their children and isolate themselves from unbelievers. Minnesota has a lot of farmers and they vote democrat because the democrat party was for farmers and they weren't liberal way back when. Most of the Minnesota folks love their farm subsidies and they simply vote for what their parents voted, which was democrat. That doesn't mean they aren't religious, remember Minnesota produced Michelle Bachman. We also have Amish, and they refuse to vote.

I know I am quite old, I am a recent convert though and so I've changed my priorities. Before I was all about the career and school, but now my priority is marriage and family. I still live with my family, but my father isn't with us; it is a sad story so maybe I'll share another time. I will say this though, no one in my family is a Christian. I am trying my best to convert them, so they won't die and be in hell because I really do believe they will go to hell and I don't want that to happen. I'm trying my best to be perfect because just maybe they will convert by my example, they don't want to hear anything about Christianity. It makes me sad.
My extended family is mostly atheist, and my immediate family has theists and Muslims (my brothers converted to Islam). I just feel so impotent to help. I try to read my bible as much as I can and listen to bible audio (kjv) when I'm busy doing something, I hope the Holy Ghost will live in my heart and maybe they will feel it and ask me and finally come to Christ. I hope so. I also pray everyday for my friends and family to become Christians, the thought of their death horrifies me. I understand that God won't answer the prayers of those that don't forgive or those that are perpetually in sin so I've also forgiven every person who has transgressed against me and I'm trying hard to love those that have unjustly harmed me. I'm trying hard to not be lazy, to always tell the truth, to be clean, to obey my parents and every other law from the old and new testament. It has been very difficult but it becomes easier when I listen and read and I keep praying that I'll grow in my faith. I even stopped getting angry at bad drivers, and just say it is my glory to pass over a transgression. Now I don't even get annoyed anymore at bad drivers, I immediately forgive. I hope my prayers will be answered soon, I've even fasted once for two days. Maybe I'll try for longer and maybe God will let my family be Christians.

Some people might wonder why I chose to go on this site, but I just love when people are un-apologetically Christian and helps me come to terms with scripture that might otherwise be difficult for me to accept. Seeing everyone else so fervently praising God is phenomenal. It also helps me get off facebook which has all sorts of bad things.

                      Re: Introduction

Greetings, Sara. These Baptists are mostly white people but I have found them very helpful for a Black man who is trying to study white people. From them I have achieved a new overstanding of how white people think. It has been quite illuminating.

I myself am a Black man from Jamaica. I am not a Baptist but I believe that Yeshua who is called Jesus too was sent as a messenger by Jah. I am Rastafari and a believer in Jah Ras Tafari who lives in Ethiopia. I have come here to Babylon to be educated as a journalist at the University of Wisconsin which is located near your own state of Minnesota. While here I am furthering my study of white people by participating on this site with these Baptists and I am studying the white girls who are my fellow students.

I have been elected to be the President of the Black Lives Matter chapter at my school where we have many meetings. We have made a few reasonable requests and we are waiting to hear that the white people who run the school have agreed to our demands. Perhaps you should come to one of our meetings. We can fight racism and learn how to defeat the white man and then maybe there will be some ganja.
