    Introduction and Some Questions

Please, let me preface myself by saying, the questions I have are genuine and without sarcasm and I am not being facetious. Also, I did read all the FAQ's and while they did answer most of my questions, I am still left with a few.
As for an introduction, I'm a technical writer for a software company during the day and at night I teach calculus and physics as an adjunct professor. For play money I write science fiction and horror stories for various magazines, online and traditional print. Occasionally, I write technical papers for various peer reviewed science journals. If anybody is interested or curious, I'd be happy to provide links.
In way of spirituality, I consider it a journey, not a destination. I identify as a Zen Buddhist, Rinzai sect. For purposes of accuracy, Zen isn't a religion, it's more a philosophy. Buddhism however, is a religion. That being said, I also find some merit in the tenets of paganism, especially those which are congruent with the god of Spinoza.
Even at my advanced age (44) I still box as an amateur and I'll be taking a match in late February. I am one-half Native American (Little Axe Tribe) and one-half Norwegian.
That's my introduction. Here are my questions:
I don't want to imply EVERYBODY on the board feels this way, however, I see some references to an aversion or rejection of, people with Down's Syndrome. (I'm referring specifically to a graphic showing a portrait of a person with the classic phenotype of Down's Syndrome with large, red letters atop of it, spelling out "REJECTED"). Why is that? I have read the bible cover to cover and I don't recall there being any reference to this.
Secondly, from what I've read on the site, most people (and again, I want to avoid making blanket statements) feel that our nation was a Divine Inspiration (capitals by me). If this were true, the Founding Fathers were very adamant about the separation of church and state. Is the general consensus that God intended Separation of Church and State or did the Founding Fathers disregard god's wishes?
Thank you for taking the time to read this and allow me to thank in advance those that take the time to answer my questions! Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving!

    Re: Introduction and Some Questions

You say you've read the Bible cover to cover (we hear that a lot!), but you seem to have forgotten Psalm 58:3? Retards plop out and immediately start speaking nonsense and lies in order to draw the Faithful away from Our Lord Jesus Christ, good grief IT'S RIGHT THERE FOR YOU TO SEE!!!

Since you are a self-admitted half eskimo/half injun I can hardly expect you to understand the distinction, but c'mon this is 1st year Sunday School stuff here!

      Dear Lovecraft!

Welcome. You have come to the right place. I also used to enjoy science fiction in my youth and I still read it to keep abreast of the atheist heresies. Have you published anything in the most prestigious science fiction journals, Nature, Science, National Geographic or Cell perhaps? It is no shame being ignorant or uneducated but it would be a shame not to realize this sorry state and fail to remedy one's shortcomings. As Brother Zechariah pointed out, the best medicine against ignorance is the Bible but we're happy to contribute.

      1. Down's Syndrome and related causes of the retard sin

It is well known among True Christians™ that these disorders are hereditary. It is equally well known that this is exactly what God and Jesus have promised for sinners.

      Numbers 14:18

The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

      Deuteronomy 23:2

A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

This means that the repulsive sins of people are passed on. Infants are not innocent, they are stained by the sins since the Fall (Genesis 3:6). And secular atheist science has proven this. Many disorders including this mongoloidism have been proven to be hereditary exactly as God promised. They are passed on in the karyotype or the genes (for the uneducated, these are the parts of the body that pass on our characteristics but also our sin to our progeny). For instance, God has placed the Down syndrome sin into chromosome 21 or sometimes in a part of chromosome 21 translocated into other parts of the genome. Thus, the Bible is once again proven.

The problem, however, is not here but in the fact that these people and their relatives do not trust Jesus and fail to get a simple healing:

      James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

This means that Down syndrome as well as other disorders, diabetes, the metabolic syndome, osteoarthritis and osteosarcoma, are choices; it is a choice not to trust Jesus, not to believe Him, dismiss Him.

      Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

      And this unbelief has ramifications:

      John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

      Luke 19:27

But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

      Case closed.

      2. The historical situation

As we know, in the late 1700's was such that the most influential religious organizations of that time were the Church of England, the Catholics, the reformed ones (Netherlands and Scorland), and Calvinists (France). Those were the ones with the most immigration to the Americas. You are making the equivocation fallacy of "Church"="anything that calls itself a Church". We know that it is not so. Most of the "Churches" have absolutely nothing to do with Christianity; obviously, we were around but a minority then as well as now. The founding fathers were, in fact, most prudent as they cleverly prevented these false religions from gaining too much power.

      Mark 13:22
For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

It was nice to educate you!

      Yours in Christ,

Whenever I find a boy in my camp who has a small attitude or is discovered to have a particular weakness, I remind him that God Himself instructed us to deny disabled people access to places of worship, as their presence would profane God's Holy House. That snaps the boys to attention and gets their blood flowing so they can perform God's work!

        Leviticus 21:18-23

18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,

19 Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,

        20 Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

21 No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

22 He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.

23 Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the Lord do sanctify them.

Hello Lovecroft and welcome to God's favourite forums!

We get a lot of people asking these kinds of questions and it is always a grand thing to to test the limits of our ability to read the Bible(1611).

The Bible(KJV1611) is very clear on spastics and wierdos of all kinds.

              Lev 21:18-21 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous, Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded, Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

So you see, this refers directly to the epicanthal folds of the Down's syndrome person with the blemish in his eye. This raises the obvious question of whether the Chinaman or Jap will get into Heaven too (but that would be off topic).

As one's devotion to the Lord increases you will find that your thoughts are more and more instep with the Bible(1611).

I'm proud to say that as Christian who follows the Bible(KJV1611) completely I have not had to entertain an original thought in years!

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Greetings Mr. H. P. Lovecraft. This is a forum for Baptists but I am not a Baptist. I and I man Rastafari and I am here in Babylon to pursue my studies at the University of Wisconsin which is the finest university in Babylon. Also these are white people and since you are a scientist I suppose you are also a white man. I am not a white man but I am a Black man. These white people are not as violent as some white people and some of them can be quite kind. I have learned very much about white people from them. The study of white people has been an important part of my education. If you have questions about Yeshua they will answer them. They are great friends of Yeshua but they do not recognize the prophecies of Marcus Garvey or the presence of Jah Ras Tafari.

                  Re: Introduction and Some Questions

Welcome then, friend. It is my understanding that HP Lovecraft believed in the concept of inherited guilt. Have you taken his name as an homage to your savage ancestors, them who mercilessly slew good Christians as they came west with God's word and at His command? Even today, you seem to reject Jesus. You are also partly Norwegian. This Godly site suffers many vile attacks from Swedes, Swiss and other godless residents of the Norwegian areas. Are you here to further the work of Satan by continuing the vile attacks we must bear, brought on by Norwegians? In addition, you are a member of a religion that is known to be a Chinaman religion. There has been much discussion over the possibility that Induns are actually Chinamen. Do you subscribe to that theory? You have made it clear that you are here to ask questions, but you have raised more questions than you have asked or answered.

Your attention to these matters would be appreciated.

                      Re: Introduction and Some Questions

Thank you to all who took the time to respond and especially Mr. White who took a considerable time in explaining the Down's Syndrome question.
Through the replies, there were a few questions that were asked and I will try to remember them to the best of my recollection:

Have you published anything in the most prestigious science fiction journals, Nature, Science, National Geographic or Cell perhaps?

I have co-authorship credit on one article for 'Science'. I have written two published papers for the American Astronomical Society which I am particularly proud of, one of which was republished, with permission in the International Journal of Astronomy.
To clarify and to make sure I'm answering your question correctly, none of the journals you listed above carry any fiction, to the best of my knowledge. OMNI was a magazine of the mid to late 80's that carried a variety of fiction and non-fiction. Could you be thinking of this publication?

HP Lovecraft, huh? I take it you're on drugs.

Yes. It's Saturday night and at the moment, I'm lit up like Yankee Stadium. While I don't enjoy alcohol, marijuana or any type of CNS stimulants, I find opium facilitates the writing process, when used responsibly. There is rich and storied history of opium use by writers, including Dickens, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Poe and a host of other spectacular writers.

I will answer these questions in the order in which they were asked.
I don't know, nor have I spoken with Satan or any person(s) claiming to be such. To that effect, I am ignorant of Satan's plans, designs, schedule, agenda or motives. As a character in the bible, I can say, he doesn't appear to be altogether bad and I'm at much pains to find a passage specifically detailing something he's done that was truly evil. He offered Jesus a job, as I recall. He made Job's life difficult, but not as difficult as God did. I seem to recall he killed Joe's brothers, but only after securing permission from God. But, I'm getting off track. Could be the opium. But to answer, no, I'm not here to attack anybody, but to enjoy the discussion and hopefully, broaden my horizons.
For the second portion of the question, I fear, I must abdicate pending further investigation into Induns. Is this a race, culture or secular religious group? I look forward into reading more and I will return once I've had time to formulate an informed opinion.

Uh, are you sure it was the Bible you read?

Yes, I believe so. KJV that begins with Genesis and ends with Revelations (or, more accurately, the Revelation of John). However, Mr. White was kind enough to provide me with the passages I sought. It wasn't a matter of me having not read them, but a matter of having interrupted them differently.

Thank you again to all those who took the time to respond and welcome me! A warm group indeed!-

Mr Packard. Once again, I am sure you posted something meaningful and once again I have no time, patience or care to read your ramblings. However I am most positive you are nagging me about creating you a signature image which contains a lazy Down Syndrome.

A word on lazy welfare grabbers whom resort to Down Syndrome. Brother Cranky has a wonderful article you should probably read before making this lifestyle change.

Down syndrome is a lifestyle choice!

I Pray you read this before making any decisions or practicing any facial expressions that may prove permanent.

Aye, there's the rub, though. Show me a doped-up writer who's capable of using dope "responsibly," and I'll show you an Irishman with a job!

Duh! Nothing good or evil happens without God's permission:

Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?

Indeed. If you were interrupting your reading of the Bible with drugs, that would certainly explain how you missed, oh, just about 90% of it. For your consolation, most of people who dare to call themselves "Christians" do the same, ignoring what they do not like in the Bible, and thinking that it is like a software license agreement, which you just click "I've read and agree" without even looking at it.
God created fossils to test our faith.

Lovecraft was a satan worshiper who introduced the uberdemon "cathuloo."
