In our country, we call those types of women: "Mga De-Puta" but in your country, we'd class them as Black Widow Prostitutes. They will seduce men to copulate with them in their home (usually a hotel room or apartment) only to drug them and then press charges against the poor victim for "sexually harrasing them" and in doing so, getting the man's money. It's a very distasteful "job" that can only be done by black-hearted sinners.

I have read his signature/warning and be reassured Mr. Peter, I have absolutely no desire to tempt such a religious man, or any other man for that matter. I am not one of those painted women you speak of, and please do not worry of anything harmful to come from myself.

A word of warning about delaying your repentance:

      Lk 9:59-62
59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

That being said, before you drop everything and immediately follow Jesus, He wants you to carefully consider the cost. You must hate your parents, your spouse, your children. You must be willing to lay down your life for Jesus -- and your brothers and sisters in Christ (1 Jn 3:16).

Lk 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

You must deny your own needs and desires. You must give up not only what you have, but what you are.

Lk 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Before you embark on your journey with Christ, you must ask yourself whether you can persevere to the end.

      Lk 14:28-33
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

If you don't think you're up to it, you might as well not start and simply accept that when you die, you will suffer eternal torment (Rev 14:10). It would be better than having everyone mocking you for trying and failing (Lk 4:29-30).

So consider the cost. Are you willing to give up your family, your dreams and your life for the promise of an eternal reward that must be accepted on faith?
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

I have really thought about it. All of the things I must give up, everything I must sacrifice. And I've also seen how there are more people that are less fortunate, and I am really thankful for everything I have.

All temptation is merely temporary in this world, only true pleasure (I am sorry if this will sound very provocative ) can be found in Heaven. As I said, I have full support of my family and they encourage me to do so. And also not so I could get into Paradise, but to also spread faith to the Lord, as I did when I was Catholic, and I will do it when I am Christian.

So yes. I am willing to sacrifice everything on the line, only for this.

I am sorry if this sounds all so sudden, being a Catholic then suddenly enthusiastic about being a Christian, but please believe me when I say, I will convert into an Iglesia (Christian).

Time will tell whether you're sincere (Mt 13:3-8). But if you have truly decided to hate your family so that you can follow the dictates of a millennia-old book, then praise Jesus! How's your Bible reading coming along? What's your favorite part so far?

            Re: A Catholic Here.

How good that you have decided to change.

Under your new president Rodrigo Duterte, you can execute most of the Biblical commands.

Let's say that you find 2 men fornicating. You can stone them to death and afterwards you can say that they were drug dealers. Duterte will support you.

Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.

And of course if you are raped, you know what to do. Claim those 50 shekels for your father!

            Deuteronomy 22:28-29

            28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

            Praise God!

Btw, as a former Catholic myself, I must warn you that those things the Priest do to you or your brothers are NOT right, it is NOT a game, it should NOT be a secret between you and the Priest and Jesus does NOT like it.

Thank you! I must say I had doubts converting into Christianity, but I feel more happy with myself ever since I became one. Thanks for giving me the opportunity.

I have great respect for my president, Rodrigo Duterte, as he is not afraid to get down and dirty just to get the job done. I must say that the harsh criticisms of the rather violent way our president handles drugs in our country are very irritating, even before I became a Christian, and I am happy to defend our president. Also, I see many similarities with your president Donald Trump with our own president, and most people (outside Philippines) seem to detest president Duterte for that, but I take that as a compliment for our dear leader. But I do have some concerns for president Trump's guidelines for natives of our country working in America, and I hope he doesn't act too harsh on my fellow countrymen working there.

President Duterte has this macabre way of dealing drugs, putting them to death is a quick and clean solution to a way-overdo problem here in the Philippines. Duterte supports LGBT though but he is strongly against same-sex marriage. And it is pretty straight forward that he will also be strongly against same-sex copulation, so there will be no need to tell Duterte that they are drug dealers.

President Duterte doesn't know these yet So he'll probably give the man who raped me a death sentence. But if I was raped, and nobody knew, I'll be sure to let my father know he must give him 646 pesos (or 50 shekels)

What do you mean things? Is it the rituals done in Catholic churches such as eating ostia during communion? Or do you mean anything sinful done by the Catholic Priests such as being gay or any other sins? Because if it is the latter, then there is nothing wrong.

The link didn't work and you left me in suspense: does he support LGBT people (ignoring the fact that they are an abomination in the eyes of the Lord, see Brother Gonzalez' post above) or is he against them?

It's the rapists who gives your father the money. Basically, according to the Holy Bible, we women are men's property. We're born as the property of our fathers, and when a father decides it's time to sell his daughter, she passes under the authority of her husband. Therefore, a rapist is like a person who broke something in the store: you break it, you buy it.

Isn't the Word of God just wonderful?

What do you mean things? Is it the rituals done in Catholic churches such as eating ostia during communion? Or do you mean anything sinful done by the Catholic Priests such as being gay or any other sins? Because if it is the latter, then there is nothing wrong.
Ooo?... Do you really think there's nothing wrong with priests raping little boys? Please explain (hint: the Holy Bible is against it).

Also, eating tasteless crackers in church is not something that Jesus actually recommended.

You keep your rapist husband until death do you apart. You keep your victim as a wife for life. If she does not cook well, it is your burden. Next wife, talk with the father first, then force her into the sexual act.

Saturday, I really hope you're not just telling us what you think we want to hear.
I saw this forum when I was researching Christians because my Christian friend encouraged me to convert. She isn't a user on this forum. I was skeptical and unsure about the decision, thus me researching Christianity.

After I saw it, I just signed up and told the truth: A Catholic who wanted to learn more about Christianity. And now, since I converted, I am now a Christian Filipino trying to redeem herself for being so blind for 33 years.

But I appreciate your concern .

Same thing, just that i've never seen a protestant admitting that he was not a Christian.

Anyway, welcome to this Baptist forum. I'm sure you're happy living in one of the most Christian Countries in the world (tought it will never reach the levels of Malta and Vatican City).

Roman, there are approximately 86 million catholics (not Christians) in her country. Rounded to the nearest thousand, that would be around - er - 86 million more than in yours. I would estimate that Vatican City is among the least catholic states in the world.
Vaccinated by the love of Jesus!!!

And also 86 million Filipnos, Filipinas, and children alike who are going straight to hell without even knowing they did a sin.
