Agnostic Theist Reporting For Duty

I have been on this forum for a few days, and am going to introduce myself. I am agnosticaliencat (or, as they put it on here, agnesaliencat) and I stumbled upon this forum by complete accident. I have also been able to learn a few things simply by being here, and I also hope that I can give others a bit of an insight into my own life and way of thinking.

As for what church I used to go to, it was a Unitarian Church in Liverpool. My favorite church to go to, however, is the Cathedral in Liverpool (both of them), and I don't have a favorite Bible passage because they're all good in their own way.

Now let's get onto the interesting stuff, like you telling us all about yourself, your church, your favorite verse, how you came to know Jesus, how many Soldiers of Christ you have birthed, etc..

I'm not going to have children (not the parenting type). As for the church, I can't really remember, as it was that long ago. The cathedrals and also the synagogue were largely because there are so many different religions in my family that it's kinda hard to put them into one group (Judaism, Catholicism, Protestant, non-denominational). As for how I came to Jesus, that's kinda like how I came to all other beings, as I found all of them through music.

I also think it's hilarious that you guys have astronomy on the list of things that God hates, as stars are beautiful when seen by the naked eye, but when they're seen through a telescope, they're something else entirely (and I've also seen Andromeda through my binoculars too).

But that's just my opinion.

Yes, and this is NOT how this forum works. It is not about opinions, it is about the word of God.


For example, I love Deuteronomy 20. So I have studied it, and I can say with all my heart and soul that the treatment of prisioners in Guantanamo and Irak is more than Godly.


That is why we ask for your favourite verse: it is because it says a lot of who you are, but also shines a light on the Bible itself, and God reveals Himself in all his greatness!

Agnes my dear girl! We only value Gods opinion. By the way you should really return those binoculars to their rightfull owner. I have heard that all scousers are crooks and thieves !

I've never met one socially and don't know anyone who has - one has one's standards. But I'm told that if you don't know them by name, it's customary to refer to them as "The Accused".

What other beings have you met/found? Krishna? Budda? Pachamama? Svetovid? Inanna? Or maybe one of the Trickster-type deities? Or any of the deus otiosus type of deities?

If you've found Inanna, I'd love to hear all about her. She was a truly bad-ass goddess!

If you've seen a star through a telescope as anything else than a dot of light, then your telescope is broken. Only planets and deep sky objects, such as the Messier objects, look interesting when seen through a telescope.

(and I've also seen Andromeda through my binoculars too).

Definitely not a star.

But that's just my opinion.
