    Bethany =]

    Hello all!

First, I want to get one thing out of the way: I am not here to mock you or your beliefs in Jesus Christ as the One True Savior.

There that being said, my name is Bethany P., I am 23 years old, I proudly serve in the US Air Force, though my tour is up in April. I have a 2 year old son and a husband whom I love dearly and have been married to for 3 happy years. I am generally a happy person who likes everyone, and tries to respect those I don't.

I am at a crossroads in my life. I grew up Catholic, but became an athiest when I was in high school to rebel agains my parents. I guess now I am an agnostic trying to find direction.

I look forward to talking to everyone, even the "heathens".

    Respectfully yours,

    Bethany L. P.

I understand that I am going to be met with hostility here, but I assure you, I am not here to cause trouble. I am here to find direction and hopefully you ALL will be able to help me

So, no more cooking and cleaning for the men
        I have a 2 year old son
        Excellent! another Soldier for Jesus
and a husband whom I love dearly and have been married to for 3 happy years.
...and who has given you permission to post here?

So, I suppose this is an improvement, moving from Satan worship to not worshiping anything
I guess now I am an agnostic trying to find direction.
...and you remain an atheist. God does not recognize sitting on fences.

Re:3:16: So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

I look forward to talking to everyone, even the "heathens".
No one really enjoys talking with heathens, it is tedious, and they are offensive.

2Co:6:14: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

I am not enjoying this, you are, to all intents and purposes, a heathen.

Actually, I still do most of the cooking and cleaning. My husband and son are out in Washington state right now, so no, no permission. And then I guess I am an athiest trying to find God... Is that an acceptable statement?

Well, I consider myself agnostic, which Mr. Bathfire said is the same thing as an athiest, so I guess so... Why do you ask?

As a matter of Biblical Scripture, it is not really acceptable, as it happens:

1st Corinthians 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

But as it is all your husband's fault and he is directly responsible for all your transgressions, then we will let it slide, God will deal with him.

I suppose I should ask, "Where are you seeking The Lord?"; my suggestion is in KJV1611. In the inerrant Bible, you will find that you have missed a trick that would have allowed you to be Saved™ with little effort:

1 Timothy 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1 Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Thank you for your help! Yes, my husband is out of town, he got laid off and moved to Washington in hopes to find a job. I'm finishing up my enlistment and will join him in May. Thank you Rev. Osborne, I have many questions, though I think Denver is quite a ways to fly out. I have reacently started going to a Baptist church in the Denver area (My first time going to church in years. I was happy when I wasn't instentaniously struck down!)

                      Now we're talking!

Oh Bethany, I am so glad you've returned to church, and especially a Baptist one. Some young people stay away from church for too long, and by the time they return they've become spoiled by life, and cynical.

You have your whole life ahead of you, and Jesus Christ™ will surely walk the path with you
