Well, I'm not sure that this is exactly salvation via potroast, but at my Parish we sure do know good food when we taste it.

The parish ladies who love to cook know how to fix a buffet spread every Sunday morning that would pop your eyeballs, soooo delicious! Directly after the Eucharist (last of which we have received the Holy Communion) we enjoy Coffee Hour in the building next door (which has a big industrial-sized kitchen) and out on the patio in nice weather.

We also prepare fabulous roast turkey with trimmings and gravy, and ham and prime rib of roast beef for holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.

And by the way, I happen to like my beef rare, like Pastor Zeke does, dripping with juice, yummmy! --

You serve meat at your' church, I thought you Californians had band eating meat in that state along with the Godly practice of smoking?

I realize you're joking a bit here for effect -- but to be serious, here in my town smoking is banned in public office buildings and stores only; you can still smoke at home and while driving, in public on the sidewalks and parks, and on the grounds of any privately owned facility (such as our church)

As for meat, yesssssss meat will always be allowed, so bring on the steaks, you guys!

My meat is also dripping in juice and very delicious.

You sure about that. When I did missionary work in California it certainly seemed like it was vegetable everything. The first time I ate there the waiter gives me this green gunk on a plate. I ask him what it is (beyond looking like thick pond scum). He says “Like guacamole dude.” Everything there was tofu/ bean/ guacamole. I never had anything deep fried until Des Moines.

Also, I notice you speaking English rather well for a Californian. I have yet to see you post “dude” or “fur sure” once. That was something else I got really tired of quickly. The way they prolonged that “e” in “dude” (shudder). Do Californians even realize your jaws are allowed to move while speaking?

I do like sushi, but I hardly gorge on it! Last weekend I made a delicious chicken potroast with all the fixings. It was delicious! This weekend will be beef....and I have the PERFECT cut....tender so it won't need hours in the oven. I can hardly wait!

When I can have those, whyever would I want to eat nasty things like seaweed, fungi, roots and babies? Blechhhh!
