    Hi Neighbors!

I haven't met most of you, my name is Richard Weed and I live in an area that was recently annex by the town of Freehold so I guess that makes me a citizen. I don't make it into town much, I sell most of my goods at the farmers market in Des Moines. A long time ago I spoke with one of the pastors at the church about printing some T-shirts or something, but I don't remember which one. The deal never went through for what ever reason, I figure he found a better deal somewhere else.

I thought this would be a good place to get to know some of my neighbors and maybe ask a few questions. Did you know my property taxes hardly went up at all after I was annexed?

I'm not a baptist or anything, but I am a spiritual person and I have great respect for all religious traditions. I'm looking forward to knowing you better and learning from you.

Welcome to our Godly Forum™. I have been by your place, you grow some kind of crop with funny shaped leaves. The deer hunting is great down there because they just lay around, and eating the venison from them makes you feel funny.

    What is your favorite scripture?

    Leviticus 26:27-29

    27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

I think the RV park I've recently moved to borders your property. That "Legalize It" banner on your barn, is it referring to prayer in schools?

I read a lot of zen stuff. My favorite scripture is probably this quote from the Buddha.

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.

You should stop by the place some time. I've got a great barbecue out back and a ton of venison steaks in the freezer.

You are a boodist, yet you are inviting us for a Barbecue? I thought you hippies were all vegetarians.

Anyway, welcome, I hope the close physical presence of True Christians(tm) might enlighten your mind a little.

By the way, I just returned home from working on Project Habakkuk, and we had some trouble with three escaped cows who broke into our testing area, which is close to your farm. Could it be that they are yours?
          Sweet Lord Jesus,
I want to pray for those who persecute me, my Lord.
Please, treat their children as you treated those of Egypt, when they upset you! (Psalm 135:8-9)
Dash their little children against the stones for their fathers iniquity! (Psalm 137:8-9)
Hit them on the cheek, and smash out their teeth! (Psalm 3:7)
Make their death and descent into Hell swift and terrible! (Psalm 55:15)
Scatter their broken bodies over the streets of their evil cities, like Benghazi, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Mecca! (Psalm 110:6)
          Praised be Your Glorious Name™.

          Amen.

I'm not a Buddhist. Like I said I'm very spiritual and respect all people of faith.

I'm glad you found my cows. I'm in the middle of an Eminent Domain dispute with Freehold and city crews keep tearing down large portions of my fence. I'll bring the truck around later today to collect them. Hope they weren't much trouble.

You have cows? I might want to come by and buy some beef to smoke in a pipe put on the slow cook BBQ at my estate. I may even make it a party but Bobby Joe can't bring the drug dogs with him. They upset my rottweilers.

                Re: Hi Neighbors!

Well Dick, welcome to God's Favorite Forum(c) where Jesus's steely gaze is upon you.

From what little I can gather, you seem a bit out of place here but being I am not one to jump to snap decisions, I'll read the balance of the vetting process.

So, Dick, haw many sons have you got? I take it you are a grower and in the t-shirt business. Must be tough off season with all the cold.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Well, one of them died, because we didn't see her coming in time. I'm very sorry. Luckily, it took us just a few minutes to drive them away, so they weren't much of a trouble to us.

It's cool the way you guys can find all this bible stuff so quick. Do you know the whole thing? Me I don't read much. I like music and TV, and of course snow boarding, this time of year I'm all about snow boarding.

Pal, Jesus died on the cross for my sins, not that fat chink buddha. Being "very spiritual" won't get you anywhere but hell.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
