  • Obligatory "I'm new here"...

    Hey there, brothers and sisters~
I know how forums work, but as it has been ordered of me by some, I have made this thread.
So, I'm new here, joined last night, looking to grow in my spirituality, and I'm 20.

(can I post in the forums now? D: )

Is that what you call an introduction? Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself? Are you married? If so, do you have your husband's permission to be here? What is your favorite Bible verse?

Oh! I do have a question though. Is there any way to write messages to people whom I wish to add? I like sending requests with a small note attached, so I don't feel like such a stranger. Is there any way to do this here?

Well, I am getting married quite soon, actually.
Do I only need to ask his permission if we've already gotten married? He say's I'm his "free range chicken", so he usually says "okay" to whatever I want to be a part of, knowing I'm always looking for a way to better serve the Lord.
        Here are some neat verses.

Young Miss! We will not have harlots plying their trade here, propositioning True Christian(tm) gentlemen with siren sounds of lust and vice, tempting them away from their wives and betrothed with firm young bodies and pert.... well, you get the picture!

You are the responsibility of your father until you are married; you then become the responsibility of your husband.

              Free range chicken, eh? Great.

You come to a Christian site and act all cagey. You keep all information about yourself tucked under your wing.

I'll let you in on a little secret. God knows everything. But He wants to see if you are a believer. Hiding in the corner of the coop displeasures Him and will get you in hot water.

                Hmm....

                Hello Big Sister,

Thank you for making yourself known here in the Introduction Forum, however it was not really much of an introduction and in fact the little information you have given us is akin to pulling hen's teeth.

The only way to "add" or befriend someone to your list, is to send a befriending request. It is then up to them if they want to add you or not.

What brought you to The Lord?

Are you an able cook and home-maker?

Your betrothed sounds a little "soft". Are you sure he isn't a homer or worse, a Democrat....or worse again... BOTH?

                YIC,

                Down here my sins forgiven,
Up there a home in heaven
Praise God, That's the way for me!!

I'm unsaved trash according to your site, but I am golden to the Lord. Trust me, we are like this (you can't see that I have my fingers crossed, demonstrating closeness).
My fiance isn't soft, nor am I cagey. He beats me when I deserve it, when I need correction, and I even ask for more when I know it didn't hurt me enough to be acceptable punishment. He always thanks me for this honesty.
My dad died when I was young.
I have actually helped build homes, but yes, I can cook as well.
I have a pet lamb, and I watch over my one younger sister, after the accident involving my parents.
I am not a siren, though. I do not have the beauty. I was blessed with ugliness as to not tempt the men to cheat on their wives, or rape me.
I say "brothers" and "sisters" to establish a friendly kinship, brother Tannor. I don't want you to feel I am superior to you, but that we are all on the same level here.
                  Bless you all.

Sounds good to me, but still a little bit mysterious. Pray tell, where is my big sister from?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

You are supposed to kill and eat those, not to hold them as pets.

                        Great.
I've traveled the country, brother, as it has been the Lord's will. For now I am situated in the mountains of Luray.
As for the concerns on the lamb, he may someday be food, but for now he is unfit for eating. He had been being kept with swine, as the sinner would have it at his previous home. I'm not sure there is a way to purify this tainted animal. I may just have to offer him up to some of the heathenish poor, wandering the streets. He would make better food than what I've seen them try to ingest. What would you suggest on this matter, brother?

Arabs eat lamb, sell it to them. Just don't mention the pig part.

Mountains of Luray? Heck woman, you are just of the street from the Hutchins plantation. Stop at any service station or Baptist Church, have them give you directions. Come on by and we'll cook that lamb on an open fire. Corn on the cob is just beginning to be picked on the west side of the place. We have loads of mint jelly and panties.

Oh, a plantation! That sounds like a wonderful place to spend the day, in fellowship. I will be sure to ask for the directions. The corn is just about ready here, as well. Maybe I can start feeding the animal now, to fatten him up. If you are sure it is ok to eat him, I would be happy to contribute. Mint jelly sounds great, but what are the panties? I only know of one kind.
