But it is possible to to take the description of the molten lake to be much closer to the mathematical value of then 3, why does this cause you a problem?

"Thirty Cubits" is a quite clear value. Theory of Pi says with 10 cubit radius gives a 31.41 cubits circumference. While the .41 might be a round off a full cubit (1ft, 7 inches), basically the length of a human forearm, is large enough not to be a rounded off. It would have been easy enough for the original writers to measure the circumference.

We have direct first person observation that DEMOLISHES the Theory of Pi. Yet people like you Jo Freddie refuse to see the Biblical evidence.

How does this disprove the mathematical value of ?

Is the 10 cubits the distance from each side of the inside or outside of the brim?
Is the 30 cubits the internal or external diameter of the vessel?

It does not require the addition of text, just being able to work out what the text is saying.

No what I am saying is that 1 Kings 7 gives some numbers but is not explicit as to how you treat those numbers and what they actually represent. It is my position that to take as three when we can easily show that is not is to misinterpret that passage, something that I think Landlubber Baptists would have sleepless nights over.

Where does it say the ten cubits and the thirty cubits form part of the came circle? They are some of the dimensions of the sea or the vessel, but it does not say they are of the same circle.
