    Thank you.

I assume you mean the post where you said "its all up to interpretation"? You are aware that the Bible very specifically tells us not to interpret it, right?

"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
    2 Peter 1:20-21

If you don't accept this verse as valid, then how can you accept any of the other verses in the Bible as valid? The Bible very clearly states that all scripture is divinely inspired:

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" 2 Timothy 3:16

If you can't accept all scripture as divinely inspired, then there simply isn't any point in accepting any scripture as divinely inspired. In God's eyes, if you don't accept a single verse in the Bible you're just as bad as an atheist who doesn't accept anything.

"For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." James 2:10
"Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him." Matthew 21:31-32

I think Lycia's point went over your head. She says that the idea of a 7 day creation and Jonah being swallowed by a whale are presented in the exact same context as the idea of Salvation itself and what it means to get Saved. How do you know that Jesus literally saves us? Maybe that is a metaphor? Maybe Hell doesn't really exist, but is a metaphor? Maybe we don't really need faith to be Saved, but it's more of a suggestion. Maybe Jesus never existed in the first place, and he's a metaphor too, a made-up character?

The point is once you start saying part of the Bible is a metaphor and not to be taken literally, you are opening up a can of worms. There are only two possible paths....1) to believe ALL of the Bible (i.e., a True Christian(tm)) or 2) reject the Bible out of hand and become an atheist.

Where do you draw the line? What makes you so sure that Eve wasn't born out of Adam's rib? What makes you so sure that Jesus Christ died for your sins? How do you draw the line between what verse to believe in and what not to?

Romans 5:12-19: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also [is] the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, [which is] by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as [it was] by one that sinned, [so is] the gift: for the judgment [was] by one to condemnation, but the free gift [is] of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

You make an amazing point, and I can see you really know your stuff, and I actually have a little more respect for this website now! However, I didn't say that there was no Adam, or no Adomic sin. I simply don't think he was the first man. Everything else, I agree with. I just think you guys would be taken more seriously if you left out the politics and racism in the site. I'm out-y, y'all!

Here are some verses from The Holy Quran to aid in your learning

            SURA 3
            59. Surely the likeness of Isa is with Allah as the likeness of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him, Be, and he was.

            SURA 18
            37. His companion said to him while disputing with him: Do you disbelieve in Him Who created you from dust, then from a small seed, then He made you a perfect man?
            38. But as for me, He, Allah, is my Lord, and I do not associate anyone with my Lord.
            SURA 1
            2. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
            3. The Beneficent, the Merciful.

Ge:1:27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Ge:1:28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Ge:2:4: These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
Ge:2:5: And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Ge:2:6: But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

Genesis:1:27-28 and Genesis:2:4-6 seems to me to be the overview; God doing the Big Stuff.

Ge:2:7: And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Ge:2:8: And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Genesis:2:7-8 is elaborating on the detail, describing the minutiae.

I see what you're trying to say, however:
                    - "male and female created he them", a whole chapter before eve was in the picture
                    - " Be fruitful, and multiply", how can Adam reproduce by himself? this seems to be saying that there were already humans around, but God made Adam and put him in the garden apart from everyone else
                    - Gen 4:16 says Cain went off to another place, Nod. How'd he get a new tribe of people going, if it was just him?
                    Judges 15:15-16

And which parts are those? Why do you consider the rest of the Bible to be dead weight? I'll admit that I don't exactly find all of Chronicles totally fascinating, but the Lord put it in the Bible. He could have stopped it making it in there if He wanted to, but He chose to put it in. Now, I'm not smarter than the Lord, and I know I'm not, so rather than just assuming that God messed up by putting a bunch of pointless stuff in there, it makes sense to believe that He gave us the whole Bible for a reason. Choosing which bits we get to disregard seems to be basically saying that we know better than God. If God has given you a special commission to edit His Book for Him, then that's great for you, but He certainly hasn't given me that very special responsibility, so I think I'll just accept it as it is.
If one believes in his heart and confesses with his tongue that Jesus of Nazereth is his/her lord and personal savior, and repents of his/her sins, that person will be admitted into heaven. I don't feel like digging up the verses to support this. Everything else is up for interpretation
See, I don't think it's quite that simple. After all, we are told that

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

But, even if you deny the neccessity of works, let's say that you're right and all you need to do is believe in your heart, confess with your tongue, and repent of your sins. I take it you agree that repentance needs to be genuine repentance, right? And that, in turn, means that you can't just go on sinning, because if you do that then your repentance was never sincere in the first place, right? Now, here's the crucial question - how do you know what is a sin and what isn't? It would hardly be convincing to just say "I repent of everything I've ever done", you need to be more specific. Once you've repented, how do you know that you're not heading straight back into sin? John 3:16, as important as it is, isn't going to tell you that. To find out what sins you need to repent of in order for your faith to be genuine, you need to look at the guidelines God gave down to instruct us about what's sinful and what isn't - that is to say, you need to be looking at the whole of the Holy Bible, not just the Cliff's Notes.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
