Somewhere in this forum a True Christian said, that the American language is God's favorite language, that might very well be, although it evolved... oh! did I say the E-word, I mean it came from british english, wich came from a mix of the norse laguages (danish, icelandic, norwegian) and french. Also It has some trail of germanian in there. Anyways we see that it took some language-evolution (E-word again) for it to become American english, and therefore the youngest language in the world (or one of them) only 200-250 years old. But now it's American, exactly the way God loves it.

And I agree, why can't he write Catholic?
Furthermore, how is Catholic so much different? We follow the same God, Jesus, Virgin Mary and Bible, so why completely alienate it? I understand it isn't the exact same thing, but to say it desregards what God teaches is just ignorant xD

The Holy Bible is the word of God and in order to avoid eternal damnation we must follow His rules. Beating the fear of God into the minds of children is a very useful practice if one wishes to prevent them from roasting in hell.

Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Proverbs 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

Harry Potter on the other hand teaches children witchcraft and according to the scriptures, witchcraft is strongly prohibited.

Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

Rape is only acceptable if the victim is a virgin and if the rapist is willing to take her as his wife by paying her father fifty shekels of silver.

Deuteronomy 22:28-29 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

This leaves the impression that God is just and fair at solving complex matters such as rape and discipline.

Harry Potter teaches nothing but good reading skills. You know what that means?
If you said evil sin, you're wrong
It means, kids can develope their own sense of creativity and write their own stories, imagine their own things, etc.
Never does a Harry Potter give any kind of life guidlines, nor does it tell children how to perform spells, nor are the spells even REAL. It's just an entertaining, time passing read that is good for school book reports.
Please stop overreacting about a simple fictional story.

Beating your kid for doing something stupid that they shouldn't have done, yes.
Beating your kid regularly for no reason, no.

And rape? From what I gather from that passage, they don't mean any creepy drooly rapist that goes and rapes tons of women, but rather any pre-marritial sex? If so, that would make way more sense, but even then it wouldn't be considered rape... Old men raping all those women would have tons of wives then, and I believe the Bible says men should only have 1...?
Although there are some girls who are total meanies and cry rape when they willing did something like that with a man... Which is plain stupid.

I'm pretty sure in the Bible it tells you who Jesus' mother is.

I wish I could. But I don't because there are people who harmed those I do love, and I don't like them,
But I don't neccesserily(sp?) hate them either.
And rapists, murderers, pedophiles, I don't like or love them either... And i can't help feeling resentment towards people who don't value human life!

God loves all, that's why he is God. He suffers for all of us, even when we don't deserve it.

As human beings, we CAN'T love everyone, as wonderful as that would be, but we should still try...
We can't love people for good reasons, other times for no reason.
We are not perfect.

Sorry, I didn't understand. You introduced yourself as a love-thy-neighbor type so I assumed that you love everyone, but in reality you only love some people, is that right? How do you choose whom to love?

How do I choose?
I choose by seeing who is dangerous. I don't love murderers, or animal abusers. Or pedophiles/rapists.
