Heres a nice definition I found:

Alright, first we have when the Astronauts viewed the earth from space, that pretty much proved it right there.

You can also observe, with binoculars, ships slowly 'sinking' below the horizon as it sails farther and farther out to the ocean.

The Greeks discovered that the earth is round by observing lunar eclipses.

Also, keep in mind the 24 hour time zones. When it is noon in Hawaii, it is approximately midnight in the middle east and vice versa. It would be impossible for it to be noon and midnight at the same time if the earth was flat.


Also Star Wars is a movie, not a person. But i am not going to get into explaining that. Although its a vary popular and successful movie.

I get and understand what your saying.
I have a christian friend, he believes in Jesus/God/Etc, he reads the bible often and goes to Church every Sunday. He does look to the bible for the answer to many religious/moral questions.
Yet he believes the earth is round, he has seen the proof and accepts it, instead of instantly saying "No way the bible says its flat thats defiantly wrong!" he looks at the evidence and studies it himself.
Sure Christians have the right to believe what they want, all people do.
But some of the stuff on this forum is ridiculous, beating your children? Sure the bible says to do it, but for one its not morally right, and psychologist have proven why it is harmful to your children in the long run. Child abuse is illegal for a reason.
