First of all, slavery is illegal. The Pastor's houseboys are free to leave any time they want to onto his rather large estate. It's not like he has tiger traps, landmines and dogs patrolling the grounds.

Honestly, I lost count of how many years they've been engaged -- what is it, seven or eight -- but regardless, that's none of your concern. Why do you care about two people who love each other and want to get married? What's so wrong about that? Stop meddling in the private affairs of others.

I was under the impression they had some kind of auxiliary parking lot area next to the main church in Freehold where cripples and such could watch the sermons on a giant video screen?
