I still went to church when I could, read the Bible every day, and prayed often, but my faith in God wavered. I think that somewhere deep down I blamed God for my trouble. I felt that he had abandoned me. Then I met Mike. His father had cancer as well and we met while going to visit in the hospital. Mike and I soon became close friends. He taught me that I should embrace whatever God has given me and that he gave me these things for a reason. He said that I would never be at peace until I truly believed in the words I read in the Bible, until my prayers meant something to me. His words spoke to me. A change came in my life. I embraced my troubles. They had led me to Mike. God has a plan for all of us and it is up to us whether we follow it. Now, I can only hope that I'm on the path God set for me.
What sins did you and your brother commit that God would smite you with asthma and him with cancer? (James 5:16)

I know I am only a humble housewife, but I believe that my brother was a good man. His greatest wish was to be able to walk into God's enternal kingdom. So perhaps that is why God took away his mortal life so that he may live forever in the glory of heaven looking down upon those sinners who burn forever in hell. His death also led me to my husband and to my discovery of Jesus. Praise the Lord!

You're seriously suggesting that God would kill your brother just to set up the circumstances by which you met your husband?

          There's hope for you yet!

              Has He really?

Are you just making that up because it sounds nice? You see you seem to have very little Christian Discernment™ so I was wondering if you had some lovely scripture.

Unfortunately, I do not, as said in my introduction, I was born & raised in an athiest family. It appears I have much to learn & relearn. So glad I found these forums when I did.

I'm not making them up as I go along, these were taught to me from the day I was born, telling me to stop does not help me either. I understand I am unsaved trash, so teach me, show me scripture that I may not know or understand.

You need to follow the whole Bible. Why don't you read it yourself and stop bothering us with your ignorant questions?

2 John 1:10-11 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Do you think you can contradict the scripture I cited by quoting other scripture? If so, you are going to reap what you sow by this mockery of God.

Galatians 6:7 (King James Version) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Friend, your Bible quotes have Mormon links imbedded in them...why is that? The only two reasons I can think of are:

                            1. You think magic underwear will get you into Heaven, or

                            2. You are googling your way to salvation.

                            Neither will work.

                            Yours in Christ,
