Why Minecraft needs to be purged!

I was recommended this forum by a friend from my church when I came to her about issues I'm having with my son. The game is Minecraft, a game about building Satanic structures with blocks. He's only eight years old and has grown up in a loving Christian family all his life. But he still resists Jesus and instead chooses to worship his computer.

This 'game,' rather 'Satanic Trick,' is about surviving in a world against God and Jesus. The world is made of 1 metre cubed blocks, and my son told me "Mommy, I can do anything here!" This game is just wrong to the bone! Cubic metres are the product of the Devil, in fact, the whole third dimension is! The numbers 3 and 7 are mankind's favourite numbers because SATIN has made him believe they are! In fact, my Bible Study group has come to the conclusion that Heaven, God and the Lord Jesus are all, in fact, two dimensional.

Secondly, it is unrealistic and UNHOLY to think you can "do anything!" My son on the game frequently breeds animals without wedding them! His 'world' is populated entirely by his beasts' illegitimate offspring! If a child has freedom then who knows what they can do? Endulge in carbonated drinks, eat 'cereal,' watch the news, talk to girls!?!?!?

Or you could do as James Dobson of Focus on the Family suggests.

The boy's father has to do his part. He needs to mirror and affirm his son's maleness. He can play rough-and-tumble games with his son, in ways that are decidedly different from the games he would play with a little girl. He can help his son learn to throw and catch a ball.

He can teach him to pound a square wooden peg into a square hole in a pegboard.

He can even take his son with him into the shower, where the boy cannot help but notice that Dad has a penis, just like his, only bigger.

Animals can't sin, because God didn't give them souls. Without a soul, one cannot be thrown into everlasting Hellfire, which is God's punishment for sin. Do you actually think God would create something He couldn't punish?

Okay, I was looking over the internet on MINECRAFT (haha) things. I saw this post, and I was like. . . beat him with a rod? Hah. Yes, minecraft DOES have zombies and monsters and things like that. But I am pretty sure you can turn that off. It's in the options... I play minecraft, and I am saved and I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.. If you don't want your son to play minecraft, then tell him he can't play it anymore. Or theres always classic, where's theres no monsters or animals at all... It DOES NOT fight against God. They keep religion out so no one is offended. If it's a big deal, be a parent and make him stop.

I understand where you come from, and he is only 8, but to say it needs to be purged? Have a nice day, God bless you all!

Let this be a lesson to all that hear, your earthly positioning judged by your knowledge of earthly things didn't inquire you to rant about petty things such as minecraft, which by the way is a pretty awesome game!! And for someone born of sin to bash on someone else's judgment is absurd. Preacher or not, you don't know everything!!

Goodness, if only there were some sort of a "thread" in this forum somewhere discussing Mineshaft.

Like this one. It's only 154 pages long with over 3,000 posts, so I can see how you'd miss it.

By the way, why does Mineshaft have to be purged? Did it overeat again?
