    Hello to all

    Hello.
I believe God is the only way to salvation.
I also believe everybody is entitled to their opinion, and can only hope they (maybe with our help) see the light.
I do not believe in judging, offending and critizing. God told us to look inside ourselves and let other be.
I believe that God trusted us and we should also trust others to turn their ways.

    Thanks

You don't believe God is the ONLY way to salvation? Please explain?

I did put I believe (not He told us) ... in some of them

For the others ... please feel free to browse.

      John 8
When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

      Matthew 7
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye

How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?

      Romans 2
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

      Isaiah 50
Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

oops ... don't know why the verse is missing?
But well ... we all can read ... and reading a bit more of the Bible to find what your looking for is always better.

          Re: Hello to all

Random scripture is all well and good.

Perhaps if you read the right Bible...

I'm particularly interested in where God tells us we are all entitled to our own opinions. And where we are supposed to look inside ourselves and let others be?

What a load of hogwash. "Hello" and "God is the only way to salvation" are the only true statements in that rancid post.

Of course, if you can provide biblical foundations for your insane ramblings, please do so.

Well you are certainly right on that, also: 2/2! God has endowed us all with a sense of choice, and we can choose our opinions in the same sense that we can choose a pair of underoos. Unfortunately for most of humanity, however, there is a test at the end: Judgment Day. On that day, we must account for our choices and our opinions, and if they don't line up with God's, as outlined in the 1611 King James Version Bible, then off we go to Hell! If, however, they do align, then we are deposited in Heaven, where we will live with Jesus forever!

Well I am afraid that Jesus and I disagree with you on this one. Let me offer you an analogy. If you were a doctor and you knew someone was dying of some disease, but you had the cure, would you refrain from telling them that they would die unless they took your medicine? No, of course you wouldn't. You would do everything within your power to save them, even if it meant telling them that they had a severe infection.

As Christians, that is our job. In fact, quite opposite from your opinion, Jesus told us that despite the fact that we would offend people and be tortured and otherwise persecuted for His Name, we must not cease to get out the Good Word! What you are referring to, I believe, is the command for us to love our Brothers and Sisters (in Christ). And you will not find a more loving group of people than our Brothers and Sisters in Christ here!

However, we must be vigilant in keeping evil at bay. We are crusaders for Christ here, and we must spread the Word of God at all costs. You may not like the message, but you can't argue that we are simply spreading the Message of Christ here. And we hope that you can accept that, lest you have a problem with Jesus!

Where did you get a silly idea like that? This certainly isn't outlined in the Bible! In fact, Jesus speaks of having to drag Paul to Salvation(r) kicking and screaming! God didn't just shrug and say "oh well, he'll come to Me if he wants to". No! God was persistent, and continued to pull Paul into the fold.

It is the same here: we aren't commanded by Jesus to "sit on our tushies and wait for people to come to you". Perhaps you've heard of The Great Commission?

As I mentioned earlier with my doctor analogy, we have the cure to Satan and Hell! And God has commanded us to go and tell the Good News to everyone: they can be saved from an eternal damnation to a burning pit of Hell created by a vengeful God or they can choose to follow Him and be spared the everlasting torture. And if that doesn't demonstrate God's Pure Love, I don't know what does!

Why on earth you believe something that God want us to do, when you can be sure just by reading the bible?

                  Re: Hello to all

                  Wow ... !

Rather than try to understand, to guide me, to help me ... you try to offend me.

Good thing that I understand and read the Bible.

I did post Bible citations for my 'ramblings', as requested by Mr. papist, which he quickly came back with another 'friendly' post stating they where random ... can't really understand. Asking to post something, only to one minute later come back and critizise it?

God's best gift to all of us, besides life and Him is our freewill.

The one that has us here talking about Him, rather than sinning.
The freewill that allows me to hear His will and obey it, rather than ignore it and turn to sin.

I'm entitled to believe, where and when did God tell you to 1st mock me and 2nd that I'm not entitled to have my oppinion on His greatness?

Why ask to introduce your self ... only to be mocked?
I come here searching to learn about God, and so far I have only learned to fear men.

First thanks for the welcome (so far the only one )

I certainly didn't meant it as lying, nor hiding the truth.
I meant it in the light of rudeness and outright judgementalism, rejecting and outright mocking others statements without even trying to understand.

Hope I do not need to put a lot more to make my self clear to you who obviously posses a high dregree of elocuence and understanding.

                      Fully agree with you ...

... Still you need to trust in God to have them turn to the light. Even with all your efforts it's God in the end who'll put them into the narrow and straight.

And that is where my hope is ...

Didn't meant it as you read it (in retrospective ... it can be read like you understood it, but of course I didn't meant it so) ... Didn't mean to say that sit and wait for greatness to come ...

Just at the end when all is said and done, you need to trust God helps others to the light!

I particularly like the bit in which God plagues the Pharaoh because he was tricked by Abraham.

What exactly are you saying? Are you implying I don't know Genesis inside and out? How strange!.
Those are your words, not mine!

Look, I do not know what your intentions are, but your manners and social skills leave a lot to be desired.

Do I need to guide you by the hand? You are the one that boast knowing the Genesis, I merely said to read it. --> The way you treat others you will be treated.

You specially out of many here should know about freewill. After all you were baptized as a Catholic?

So you renounced your families beliefs, and followed a calling, inspired, or incited by others, but at one moment in time, you exercised God's gift and decided to follow this Blessed calling ... and that is freewill.

God didn't force you, your family certainly didn't ... ?

Now rather me spoon feed you, this time I'll ask you to please find out for your self. After all we all know we could use some Bible reading.
