  • Hello everybody!

    Hello fellow Christians!

My names is Riley. I am 20 years old and raised Christian. My life goals is to bring as many people to Jesus and I possibly can.

Through my own experiences, I have noticed that many people claim to know Jesus, but deny many key areas of Holy Scripture. My strategy is to respectfully question people about their beliefs and make them think.

I hope I am welcomed into your community! And I hope to learn a lot as well!

You'll not find any soft scripture deniers here, friend.

        Re: Hello everybody!

I am presently searching for a church to attend. The faith I was raised in was rather vague and I'm looking for a deeper relationship with Jesus. I was told simply that God exists and to follow the Bible. But how can we know what the author's true meaning was when they wrote the Bible? That's what I'm struggling with.

Upon my research, Catholicism seems like the more plausible faith. Because it was the first Christian faith, it seems to be the most likely one that was started by Jesus. Thoughts?

Was your research carried out by a curiously red entity?

Catlickism is one of the "more plausible" faiths if your desire is to be butt-rushed on earth by priests and sodomized in hell by Satan.

A hearty 'top of the day to ye!'

Can I take it you are Irish? As such I can only assume you were drunk when you wrote this

One does not interpret bible (KJV1611). One reads the bible (KJV1611) and lives life exactly as it is written. How can anyone imagine that God would not be clear in His words?

As for Cthatholcalism being the first faith? the Nicene creed came into being in the 4th century. Seeing as Genesis was writtien at the beginning of time I don't think you can give any special pleading for the dirty child bothering papist.

Your best bet is the read tha bible (KJV1611) cover to cover and live by it exactly as it states: interpretation and papist need not apply

Finally a warm welcome to God's friendliest website!

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Struggle no more. The author of the Holy Bible is God, and He means exactly what He says! Read THIS.

                Re: Hello everybody!

Cathlicks were the first to try to steal Gods thunder of being a True Christian™.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

You've come to the right place, friend. Some of us have escaped the tentacles of the catholic cult and can help you avoid such trauma.

For one thing, the catholic church was not started by Jesus, it was started by charlatans who desired power and riches. They took bits and pieces of ancient religions (like the transubstantiation of Osirus, the goddess worship of Isis) and added Latin babbling, candles, and incense to confuse and stupefy followers into believing they could do things like magically absolve sins (something only Jesus can do, but not magically of course, supernaturally).

Consider this ancient rendition of Osiris, Isis and Seb:

Osiris is on the left. He has a giant communion wafer on his head. His mother, Isis is in the middle, a position of paramount importance, the goddess that Mary takes on in catholic theology today. To the right is Seb, the father of Osiris. This is the Egyptian trinity and the obvious precursor to the catholic trinity (Jesus, Mary, God).

For another, the catholic church exists to encourage people to voluntarily become slaves for their labor. There's a reason priests and nuns take vows of poverty while the pope sits on a throne of pure gold, surrounded by attendants who serve his every desire - they are his slave labor and they choose to be slaves! How confused do you have to be to choose to be a slave?

Mother Teresa's volunteer slaves washing clothes by hand for patients:

Disposable surgical gloves washed and dried to save money:

With donations of millions of dollars annually, where do you think all this money goes?

                  That's right...

The pope. He gets to sit on a gold throne, stare up at a gold ceiling,

Babble in Latin in a gold church,

Enjoying ancient Greek entertainment (hint, it involves anal sex for show)

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
