  • Asswarp's Intro Thread

I'm sorry, I saw this in passing and I couldn't help myself but to comment.

Have any of you ever stopped to think that in putting yourself above Mr Logan because of your difference in views you are in fact particularly prone to the sin of pride? Does it make you a better person just because you disagree with his views? Are not all men created equal in the eyes of the lord?

Whatever happened to educating someone who doesn't believe? Whatever happened to tolerance and patience. If you were so secure of your beliefs then a well written piece actually asking you to explain and justify your belief shouldn't scare you, in fact it should be no problem for you to explain why your god is the right one.

With regards to women, what happened to the guidelines Jesus gave us? Don't strike another person, violence is not the way into heaven and violence is certainly not the way to correct someone. A real man can explain his point of view and tell someone why they're wrong, women don't need beating to toe the line, they only need beating when you're wrong and you want to shut them up.

A woman should refer to her man as her man refers to god? What happened to not worshipping false idols? You, good sir, are no god, none of you are and I will not fall on my knees before you just because you were born with a penis. Have you forgotten we all start out as women before testosterone changes the body?

From what I can tell, you are all judgemental bigots, I have no problem with people who believe in god but the way you all act is deplorable. You are all human and none of you are above mistake, is it not yours to play the beggars and fools, blindly accepting beliefs that were thrust upon you without thought or question? Surely any god would appreciate a believer which has looked at all of the evidence with mild sceptisism and decided 'yes, this seems right to me.' Blind acceptance is nothing but ignorance and in your ignorance you do your religion a disservice.

    Re: Hello there

So are you going to make your own introduction and tell us why you hate the sweet, sweet Baby Jebus?

Hmm? Who said anything about hating the baby Jesus... besides, Jesus grew up, he ain't a baby any more. Jesus, man or son of God had the right idea. He helped out.

Besides, I need no introduction, it's not like it matters to one of you who I am, where I'm from or anything else, right?

NOT right. We need to know who you are and why you are here so we know how to interact with you. We get lots of youngsters here "trolling", which basically means acting stupid to get a rise out of someone. Hopefully you're not a "troller" but we need a little information about you before we can make that judgment.

I refer you to the top of this page where it says "The introduction forum Attention Unsaved Trash". It goes on to instruct you as to what information is desired from you at this time.

But you right about this: it matters little where you are from. What really matters is where you are going for all eternity.

If I were you I would consider accepting the conditional forgiveness of Jesus, by believing in His temporary sacrifice. If you fail to do this, you may find yourself roasting alive for all eternity. That is the deal Jesus is offering you. Do you accept?

So you acknowledge that He existed, yet don't appreciate His sacrifice of dying (temporarily) to cleanse you soul of the stain of sin that His Father (actually Himself) laid upon you? How more hateful can you get?

...Besides, I need no introduction, it's not like it matters to one of you who I am, where I'm from or anything else, right?
Ah, here we come to the crunch: it's all about context. If we have no idea who or what you are (and specifically how you came to hate Jebus), then how are we to help you see that your life of sinful pleasures and ScIeNce-loving will force God to rescind His offer of eternity nuzzling the sweet Bosom of Christ? Why do you want to have Satan's red-hot, barbed, and serrated tallywhacker violating your nether regions repeatedly for all of time?

Actually I'm not here to troll, I was simply stating my point of view. I am a youngster as it happens, twenty-one years old, female and British... all things that are probably to be disapproved of.

And well, would you have me pay lip-service? Isn't that against the bible in it's own right? Praying simply because I'm scared of the possibility of Hell is in fact another sin that would send me to hell. Damned if I do, damned if I don't. I'd be better off living a moral, good life and should I find faith, accepting it then and asking forgiveness for my years of doubt.

                      Re: Hello there

Sorry I missed your message there Didymus.

I can't say for certain one way or another whether he existed or not. I believe man is flawed, therefore I believe the bible is flawed, therefore how can I take what's written there to be divine proof of his existance?

And... just because Eve tasted of the fruit of knowledge, doesn't mean I sinned... though you can't help but wonder, why did God keep knowledge from mankind? Jesus died for my sins, he washed them from me and yet why am I still to be considered a sinner? Why is it that women are still plagued with menstruation if he wiped our sins clean?

...Not only that but seriously gents, do you listen to your wives? No? Then why would Adam? He's as much at fault for taking the fruit from her and eating it.

Wow Redeemed Paptist! Another believer who can't justify his beliefs.

I said nothing about god, whether right or wrong, I was questioning your beliefs as a human. Are you a god? No.

If I burn in Hell then I'll burn in hell whether I start praying now or not. It's all lip-service.

And as it happens there is rather a great contradiction between the old testament and the new testament, the old shows a wrathful, angry god who asks for fear and devout servitude while the new shows a loving, forgiving god that will even forgive a sinner and accept that person into the flock.

You can't pick and choose the bits you like, follow it all or follow none of it.

Your comments are irrelevant and sure to be fodder for entertainment by others. Should you care to join us praising Jesus and His Holy Name, the least you could do is pick up a Holy Bible and actually read it, not go by what you remember from Sesame Street.

Using a quote from the bible to prove it's not flawed? If it is flawed then that quote is flawed and it's a moot point.

All of human kind is flawed, why else would so many deny the word of god, why would Lucifer's whispers have any effect?

The works of men are flawed just the same, should you choose to then you might take the bible as being right overall but at every point? Doubtful.
