Well friend, you need to look at things from Gods perspective. Think about it. He has to do a 'meet and greet' with every single person. He does not have the time to sit down with every single person and hang out for a weekend playing foosball. He touches base, gives you a knowing wink and has to move on. If something happens where you really need Him, He will be there. He gave you a personal message and you dismissed it as empty ramblings. I have to wonder why you think His words have no value?
As far as the Bible goes, it is His personal expression of love to you. No where in the Bible does it tell you to interpret the words contained within. So many people, think they are so smart and that God had the Bible written in a very tricky and obtuse fashion when nothing is further from the Truth.
The Bible is a instruction manual for His creation to follow. He had it written so even the feeblest of minds could understand it. Is that so difficult to understand?
Friend, think about life, how brief and fragile it is. God can snuff it out faster than a Lucky. Then what? Eternity. Consider this. Do you think about what is for dinner at dinner time or do you plan in advance, making sure the steaks are defrosted?
