I am a Roman Catholic with an open mind and very much enjoy your sight.

I am not sure if Catholicism is the correct form of Christianity and would like to join this forum to help make up my mind.

I am a married male (no children yet) originally from Italy and I love soccer.

My favorite TV show is The Walking Dead.

Why don't you renounce the pope and accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and Savior, instead? Are you afraid of what they'll do to you?

As I studied the Bible to formulate my arguments, I saw the many ways in which the word of the Catholic Church contradicts the Word of God, and eventually I realized that Landover Baptist Church was right and that I was wrong. I repented of my Catholicism, accepted Our Lord Jesus Christ rather than Mary or the Pope as my Lord and Savior, and underwent believer's baptism, the only kind authorized by Scripture.

I have four female family member all named Maria Maddalena and favoritr bible part is

James 2:24 See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone

I really love Mary as the mother of God as has been taught to me all my life and also revere the Pope although I do not like the fact the current pontiff is German.

Then I'm afraid that you've been taught wrongly all your life.

Matthew 12:47-50: Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Luke 11:27-28: And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed [is] the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed [are] they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Where in the Bible does it say that there is to be a Pope? I know what Christ said to Peter, but what does that have to do with anyone since?

although I do not like the fact the current pontiff is German.

Martin Luther was German and I have been taught that he was a bad man and a selfish revolutionary who destabalized a whole region with his actions.

I am beginning to realize that I may have been brainwashed in some way.....
