It is, isn't it? Out there in the Godless world of sin, few are brave enough to witness the Lord in all His Glory - they would rather believe in their own brand of Christianity in which some deity is their "personal trainer" who tells them how they may continue doing everything they enjoy and thus reach some sort of Paradise.
Here we are fearfully unafraid to accept The Word of The Lord as absolute, regardless of our own erroneous feelings on a matter.
How often I have heard from those of wavering faith, "Should we not prosecute the rapist, rather than allow him to marry his victim (for a fee payable to the father)?" My reply is always the same: "The Lord commands it, and if obeyed, then we, the victim and the rapist will all go to heaven - fail, and none of us do."
