I know what you mean, Brother Jim. There's a donkey sanctuary next door to our estate, and the children and I often wish we could adopt one of the animals. But my husband says they would wreck the lawns and of course he is right.

A man who works with my husband has been blessed with a very fine ass, too. Sometimes it's hard not to be envious, but then you remember to give thanks for all things.

Good is good all the time, all the time, God is good.

I just keep saying that to myself over and over.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Let's not torture this verse with whatever twisted translation you are using, but let's look at it closely:

Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

It clearly says to love your own people, not some random strangers. Strangers deserve to be raped (Numbers 31:17-18), killed (Deuteronomy 20:16-18) and sold into slavery (Leviticus 25:44-46).
you say Numbers 31:17-18 says for stangers to be raped but i do not see this (
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.) nothing about raping strangers

You really should pick up the Bible and read it sometimes.

Here are the verses in question put in context:

            Numbers 31:1-9
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.
3 And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the Lord of Midian.
4 Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.
5 So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
6 And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.
7 And they warred against the Midianites, as the Lord commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.
8 And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.
9 And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.
10 And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire.
11 And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts.
12 And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.
13 And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them without the camp.
14 And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle.
15 And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord.
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

Now, I understand that this might be a difficult concept for you to grasp, and please don't feel bad if you cannot comprehend it (after all, it's not your fault that God created you as a lowly female), but here it goes: the little girls who were not slaughtered were kept as property of the warriors. The owner does with his property as he pleases. What happened next, some people would describe as rape.

If you need more commentary, here is some: Day 49. Numbers 31-33. You're welcome.

I wonder what's worse: being enslaved after seeing all your family get slaughtered, or having your belly ripped open, and seeing your own fetus oozing out with your guts right before you die?

Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

Does she need to type out the entire Bible for you? If you read it every day as you claim, how can you have missed so much? The Lord is a lord of love, but He is also a lord of Justice, and love cannot exist without justice. While all cases of justice do not all involve corrective rape (corrective in the sense of correcting faith to the wrong religion), one must purge the sins by purging the neighbors who don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are witches (Exodus 22:17); homosexuals (Leviticus 20:13;Romans 1:24-32); fortunetellers (Leviticus 20:27) kids who hit their dads (Exodus 21:15); kids who curse their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); adulterers (Leviticus 20:10); non-Christians (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); atheists (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); false prophets (Zechariah 13:3); live in the town of one who worships another god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); are non-virgin brides (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemers (Leviticus 24:10-16).

Don't be silly. The Holy Bible tells us specifically from where faith comes, and it's not tiptoeing around the fragile egos of the unsaved.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

My dear. As it is pointed out in the link kindly provided by our resident atheist, Mr. Didymus (for whose salvation I pray every day), Bible clearly says that we are to cherish and love and respect only our neighbors and other people like us, and not some random heathen strangers. Even in the quote you provided, it cleary says "your people" (thy means your), and not "all people."

Aside from our own community, the Bible also gives us detailed instructions on how to deal with heathens. I already quoted you some, and here is some more:

                      Deuteronomy 20:16-18
16 But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:
18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the Lord your God.

                      1 Samuel 15:3
Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

                      Leviticus 25:44-46
44 Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
45 Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.
46 And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.

                      I hope this helps.

I will include you in my prayers, sweetie.

What you claim to "know" and have been taught are wrong, and speaking untruths about God and Jesus is blasphemy.

Blasphemy is the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for deities, to religious or holy persons or things, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable.

No, you were called a whore for continually arguing against the True Christians™, Scripture, and God.

Instead of being grateful to those who take the time from their busy lives in order that you may know what the Bible really says (instead of the lies that you've obviously been fed), you whine and moan and claim "this is what i know" (capitalization intentionally omitted ) even though you've been shown that the Jesus in the Bible DID NOT love everyone, DOES NOT want everyone to be saved, DOES NOT want Christians to be "nice" to everyone, and basically has very little to do with the image of Him that you've formed in your own head and now worship.

                              Hello there

I was wondering if you could please go in to detail as how you managed to move to the USA? I have a great dream to finally move there myself and any success stories will indefinitely help me. Also be wary of false prophets:

John 8:44*- Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Some wicked creatures may try to trick you into marrying them when they are not True Christians. The cunning of Satan knows no bounds and he will send great lies to try to tear you from the path of our Saviour, for he is the prince of lies. So be wary and show caution and listen to God's will, for he will guide you to glory and salvation but only if you allow him to work through you.
