Of course we wouldn't do that. Unlike you Icelandic bastards, we keep our promises. We promised to protect your country with OUR military after you begged us for protection, and we'll keep doing that, even if we have to invade and sell everything and everyone in Iceland to pay our military budget

We have always wanted to follow the law, but the countries we are dealing with for some reason do not want to go to court??? Instead they have tried to use our situation to bully us to surrender to whater they want (to pay for the Olympics 2012???). Our sense of justistice is repulsed by that. Since the banks that went bankrupt were private banks and got every penny of insurance that was was available. Even though we do not pay these private debts we still have a whole banking system to rebuild. At the same time those who made the debt are living in Britain or Luxemburg hidning the money thay paid themselfs as bonuses for creating Enron like pyramids. And then you blame us ...

You really don't get it do you. It seems your government is keeping a lot of information from you. If your country is bankrupt, all people in your country will be bankrupt as well. Your money will be worthless. Your assets will be worthless. No matter how hard you deny it, you are doomed.

My debt is what I have to pay to survive. If its only food, I am debt free. Its only If I want to move that I loose money. If I stay in Iceland I can buy myself a flatscreen TV in 3 years without adding debt :-)

Afterwards they wanted Iceland to pay for it, but it was a private bank and the insurance was depleted, so by law they should have gotten nothing more. That's quite different. Your country simply lost all of its money because none of you know how to handle money. So yes, you have to pay them back, because it's YOUR government's fault.

With GM, it was a private business, the government didn't have to get involved at all, but they did. The government gave that company money, which is communism, that business should have shut down. But see, WE have money. YOU don't.

That's what happens when a country is founded by Vikings whose economic knowledge is - sail into other countries and steal all you can get. It's still going on today

So apparently the financial crisis is the result of idiotic Icelanders buying into a Ponzi Scheme. Serves them right. The only people that fall for Ponzi Schemes are idiots and greedy people. That is why Bernie Madoff conned all his Jew friends into joining his scheme, because he knews Jews would do anything more money. The same principle operates in Iceland. You have a bunch of savage offspring of Vikings and Eskimos who usually get what they want by pillaging villages, then they have no experience dealing with modern economics since the Iceland economy revolves around a barter system of penguin eggs, polar bear hides, and fermented cod. Just to start........ I am an agnostic. Yes I know i will burn in hell for all eternity. Oh well such is life, o did i mention that i am an american married to an Icelandic woman/eskimo, and together we have conceived a spawn of troll and heathen to create a perfect little sinner. Ok on a religious note My wife is a Lutheran registered in the church of iceland. She has been baptized, confirmed and attended 10 years of christian studies in school. She has excepted christ as her savior but still accepts the fact that not everyone is the same religion.
God gave us free will so that we may make our own choices, not have to listen to some redneck religious extremists who think everyone but themselves is wrong. I have never laughed so hard as when i was reading this forum so at least I have been entertained.
