  • Colonel's Wife Follows Bible And Kills Kids For Being "Mouthy"

    In an example of Biblical justice, the wife of a U.S. Colonel killed her two teenage children today by shooting them in the head for being "mouthy."

    From the story:
    Julie Schenecker left a note detailing her plans to kill her disrespectful children and then herself, saying "they talked back and were mouthy and that she was going to take care of it," McElroy said. She provided the same motive to police who interviewed her.
    This is all fine and good, except she did not follow Biblical protocol:

    An arrest affidavit said Schenecker shot her son twice in the head "for talking back" as she drove him to soccer practice Thursday night. She drove home, went inside and shot her daughter in the back of head while the teen sat at a computer doing homework, then shot her in the face, the affidavit said.
    As we all know, there are two things wrong here. First, she technically committed murder since we are told by God to follow the laws of the government. (Romans 13:1-4)

    Second, and more importantly, she violated God's Law by using a gun:
    If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother ... Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city ... And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die. Deuteronomy 21:18-21
    She used a .38 she had handy when she had had enough. She should have taken out her Bible instead and followed God's Law by having her neighbors stone them to death. I pray that she finds forgiveness and ends up in heaven instead of where her kids will be: Burning In "Mouthy" Hell!

    I've been wondering about this gun situation as it applies to disobedient children Brother, thank the Lord this news story came up so we could discuss it.

    I'm no gunsmith, so correct if I'm wrong here, but what about making bullets out of rocks? Would it then be at least Biblically correct to shoot a disobedient child in the back of the head as she sat at her computer?

      I was wondering the same thing. However, during my research for this story, I found that God has reasons for using groups of angry rock-bearing men to kill the lawless:


      Why Does God Choose Stoning?
      Before getting to the meat of the issue at hand, it is important to understand why God chooses stoning as His favorite method of capital punishment. Stoning, or "lapidation," is a form of capital punishment whereby a group throws stones at a person until the person dies. One advantage is that no individual among the group can be identified as the one who kills the subject. This prevents bragging or betting or other forms of score-keeping. (This is in contrast to the case of a judicial executioner.) Also, stoning is slower than other forms of execution, and hence is a form of execution by torture. This means that God wants these sinners to die a slow painful death before they burn in Hell for all eternity. Clearly, God is very upset at those who break His laws and wants to really lay into them!

        It does help. But I would think then that a group of people, all with gun the fired rock-bullets, would be Biblically correct, as long as they stuck with body shots and also aimed for the extremities.

        That way, the disobedient child wouldn't die immediately, and would therefore have time to think about how they'd offended their parents, and by association, Jesus.

          Technically lead comes from rocks and the explosives come from other ground up rocks. I'm wondering if Brother Gabriel could research the legal implications of those two facts as they might apply to biblical matters.

              Perhaps if there was a consensus that bullets might be used on only extremities, we would be fulfilling His word?

              Many good Christian folk, due to the infirmities of old age might have trouble hefting a large boulder to fling at a miscreant, but if they were allowed some gun shots at finger tips and toes, they would experience the joy of smiting sin, and the actual fulfillment of the sentence could be accomplished with stones to the head and torso wielded by younger Saved folks?

                The Lord had David battle and kill Goliath with a stone used as a speeding projectile so there is history to it being allowed.

                    What about shotguns? With gravel-loaded shells, you could follow the Word of God to the letter with a pump action!

                    Maybe this should be reserved for those worthy of a special mercy. For example, a 6-year-old child who has been good all of their life becomes surly and disobedient; one could almost feel bad killing them with a regular stoning, which can take several minutes.

                    Just a thought that only has value should a True Christian decide so. If not, I apologize for wasting your precious time, and deserve whatever punishment you decide is best for me.

                      I've heard it said [not that I've ever hunted and eliminated witches, homersexurals, and Democrocks that I'd admit to] that the assassin's weapon of choice is a 22 cal. gun or a Metal Storm.

                        I am afraid Brother Gabriel has it right, and there is no excuse for using swift means to remove sinners from God's earth.

                        Amongst the reasons given for the Godly execution by stoning in his post above, one is missing and one is misstated.

                        The misstatement is that it is torture - this is simply untrue. If torture is the purposeless application of pain, then stoning is not torture: there is a purpose, albeit, death.

                        The missing point is that stoning, properly done, gives the sinner time to repent, his mind being concentrated by the application of flesh ripping, bone-crushing blows. Something that no bullet may achieve.

                        Looking back at the case, I do not see the Colonel having trouble with his children but it appears his wife did. I cannot see why a son, once he reaches a certain age, should not treat his mother as he finds fit. This is good training for marriage.

                        The daughter is another matter and, to be frank, I have little time for sassy females, and if one kills another, why, you have saved on wedding expenses.

                        Finally, a Colonel in the US army is a well-piad post given only to Christian men. If there are any ladies out there looking for a husband, need I say more?
