Well I am new here. I can say that Jesus is our one and only Savior. And the only way to the Father is through the Son. The main thing in life is to treat other people good. You can go to church all you want, but if you hurt others verbally or physically Jesus frowns upon that. Every man or woman is the same in the eyes of Jesus, no matter how much or little money they have. It is what's in your heart that counts. I hope this explains my beliefs.

Re: Hello friends
Well, good afternoon to you, Tony, andto
, here, at
. We are so pleased that you have found your way here to our blessed corner of the interwebs, and we do appreciate your message of introduction.
Now, I wonder if I might ask you to read, very carefully, the requests that we have posted at the top of our Introduction Forum, which I shall include here:
The introduction forum Attention Unsaved Trash: This the ONLY subforum you can start threads in. Here is where you introduce yourself. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.
Apart from expressing your personal feelings, it appears that you have not told us what your favoriteverse is, what church you attend, or how you came to find
. We do look forward to learning these things and enjoying fellowship with you.
Maybless you, Dear.

Thank you for explaining your beliefs. The important question, however, is: can you back any of your beliefs with relevant quotes from the Bible? That would make your beliefs Christian, you know.God created fossils to test our faith.

Re: Hello friends
Welcome, Tony. You will find that we are very friendly here and we attempt to help the unsaved toward salvation when we can. I generally and conditionally agree with your comment about being nice to other people. I am nice; everyone is nice here, well maybe not everyone. There are those who require discipline, though.
God requires to kill witches and homosexuals. There are others we have little patience for as well. In all things we are guided by the word of God as revealed in the King James Version of the Holy Bible, the only unedited, true and correct version of God's word.
Tell us more. We thirst for your testimony.God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11

Re: Hello friends
Hello, welcome to the forum. I noticed in your earlier post there was a reference to a "priest" which is a category of person claiming to stand between God and humanity. At one time there was a function for such people and not all priests are reviled in The New Testament, for example John the Baptist's father was a priest who accepted God's plan. Jesus however is now the only Mediator and every Christian has equal access to Him rendering the caste null and void.
I Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
There are people who claim to be "priests" and who claim the ability to communicate with God on behalf of others. They act as though they're doing something important. They even claim that everyone is "the same" meaning that everyone needs their services for their lives to be legitimate.
Acts 3:22-23; 4:1-2 [Peter speaking] Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
4:1-2 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
By this time the priestly caste.—.the pharisees, the sadducees, the scribes indeed the whole motley crew.—.was defunct. They must have known this but persisted with their charade and sought to block the ministry of Christ. Of course it would be possible for a priest back then to have accepted Christ and in the 4th chapter [LINKED (above)] there's reference to a Levite doing just that; obviously he'd then stop being any sort of "priest" except in the sense that each and every Christian has direct access to Christ.
Something worth noticing here is that not everyone is the same in the eyes of Jesus, as the quoted passage spells out. Every soul which will not hear that prophet (meaning Jesus Christ) shall be destroyed from among the people. So two distinct categories of person: those who hear Christ and those who will be destroyed.
I'm not sure which category you come into but your mentioning "priests" suggested this Scripture to me which you may like to consider. Perhaps there's a passage from Acts you also find helpful?
All the best - Mitza.
