  • Why are Homers so Insensitive

I came across a story of justice in Louisville, KY, recently. A beautiful Christian woman, a professional photographer, was almost forced to take on a photography project of a homer wedding.

I got the impression she hates homerism, homers and sin so much it saddens her to the point of crying. It's hard to imaging the hurt that would have been forced upon her if she had been required to photographic this ugly scene.

But homers and their sinful fans don't care about the feelings of others. They are completely insensitive. They are always willing to hurt Christians.

Fortunately, the legal system had feelings of sympathy for the Christian photographer. A ruling came down she did not have to ruin her life by working this wedding.

A federal judge in Kentucky has ruled that the city of Louisville cannot force a Christian photographer to work at same-sex weddings because the Constitution does not require a choice between gay ...

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Thank you for this informative piece of good news, Brother Mayor.

I especially liked this bit of the court's explanation for the ruling:

The court wrote, “And under our Constitution, the government can’t force them to march for, or salute in favor of, or create an artistic expression that celebrates, a marriage that their conscience doesn’t condone. America is wide enough for those who applaud same-sex marriage and those who refuse to.”
It further stated, “The Constitution does not require a choice between gay rights and freedom of speech. It demands both.”
Indeed. And the same should be true if we substitute "same-sex marriage" for "interracial marriage," which is also prohibited by God. Let us imagine:
The court wrote, “And under our Constitution, the government can’t force them to march for, or salute in favor of, or create an artistic expression that celebrates, a marriage that their conscience doesn’t condone. America is wide enough for those who applaud interracial marriage and those who refuse to.”
It further stated, “The Constitution does not require a choice between racial minority rights and freedom of speech. It demands both.”
Religion gives us the best defense when we are accused of being bigots. It's not me who hates gays and disapproves of mixing races - it's God! Praise Him or else you will burn in Hell!
God created fossils to test our faith.

Huh. And here I thought that the problems with homers is that they are too sensitive. As in, always with the girly, feeling stuff.

Just shows how little I know. Not that I feel bad about being unknowledgeable about homers, you understand. Indeed, I am quite proud of my ignorance regarding any number of unworthy subjects.

Homosexuals just want to spit in the face of God. They don't care who else gets hurt by their sinful behavior. That's why God has to punish them with the unending agony of hellfire. Of course, we should be polite to these perverts when we rebuke their nasty, evil ways.

          Greetings!

In my home country which is Jamaica it is customary to catch homosexuals and set them on fire. Everyone participates and there is the atmosphere of a carnival. The homosexuals make a cheery blaze and everyone roasts marshmallows. I myself do not care for marshmallows but it is always fun to attend the festivities.

A ruling came down she did not have to ruin her life by working this wedding.
I had to read that twice! For a "ruling" there must have been some appeal to law. Since when did anyone other than the proprietor decide what they sell? Say if someone came to me and said they wanted a hat made out of some fabric I don't stock ready for next Tuesday. Regardless of the lurid pattern they wanted and whether I stocked it or not, what if I couldn't make any hat in time because I was too busy with a backlog of orders from last month? Can they take me to court and insist that I drop everything and make their stupid hat?

Because that's what it amounts to, just as with a photographer: "Can you do a job for us on the 29th?" - "I'll just check .. .. no, sorry, I'm already booked on that day," ought to be the end of it. What if I sold motorcycles or ice-cream cakes and someone came in to look at the range I offered? They might want a European model but I'm a Harley dealership or alternatively my ice-cream shapes could include
            Goldfish
            Unicorn
            Spiderman
            Giraffe
            Butterfly
            Clown
            Tiger
            Felonius Gru
            Christmas tree
            Volcano and
            Gazelle
them some freak comes in and wants an Eiffel Tower shaped ice-cream cake which isn't in the book and I don't have anything that shape to make it in anyway and even if I did it would probably collapse. Do they sue me to make me sell them something I don't have? Can they force me to open another dealership just to get the motorcycle they want? It's exactly the same as if they went into a pet shop and ordered a dictionary. It's simply not available.

Go to a different dealer. Try Fifi's Gallic Ices, she might have an Eiffel Tower. Book with a different photographer, one who does have an opening on the 29th. Is that so difficult?

It seems more than insensitive to me, it's deliberate provocation.
