  • Christians are lazy?

    By collinslaw

To be lazy is to be idle, that is ,to be averse to labour, not wanting to do anything. The bible does not assuage this.

A look into the bible would reveal that most of God's promises have conditions to fulfill. Most of us desire prosperity and God has promised us this.

    But in Joshua 3:18 ,
Any true Christian on this forum who desires prosperity and good success must endeavor to do according that is stated in the Holy Bible. Before this,he certainly must have read the Bible and memorized a few verses in it. As a true Christian, we must meditat">Note: the bible is objected to laziness. There are some people who make no effort to develop any ski or God-given talent to do something legitimate and righteous so a person can have something God can pronounce the blessings He has promised.
    See proverbs 6:4-11

Take note, brothers and sisters  here that God does not agree to laziness, it is not in His nature. Jesus said in John 5:17

Jesus was not only working, He made it a point of duty not only to do it but also to do it appropriately and at the right time. See john 3:34

Jesus was a diligent man while on earth and He was definitely successful in all His endeavors on earth.

Jesus did so much work that even when he was hungry, and he sent the disciples to go and get food for Him, the Holy bible recorded in john 4:31-34 that He discarded the food when he saw an opportunity to draw souls into the Kingdom of God which was the one of the main cynosure of His ministry.

God Expects us to be full of activities, especially the ones directed towards our essence here on earth.the Bible says in Titus 2:14 that we are supposed to be a peculiar people, zealous in good works!.<See romans 12:11

A true Christian is not to be slothful in business but fervent in spirit and serving the Lord.Have a nice Wednesday. God bless you.
1.) Firstly, any Christian who desires these promises must not only believe but also be active for God.

2.) To cast out demons in Jesus Name, they must have to make pronouncements.

3.) To make the sick recover, they have to lay hands ,except for the mercy of God.

Note: the bible is objected to laziness. There are some people who make no effort to develop any ski or God-given talent to do something legitimate and righteous so a person can have something God can pronounce the blessings He has promised. See proverbs 6:4-11

    Re: Christians are lazy?

Hi Collin, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to post on our Godly forum. If I may, I have a few tips:

Tip 1: When you are copying and pasting, try to avoid copying and pasting the same chunk of text twice. Like you did with the text that starts with "Note: the bible is objected to laziness" and ends with "zealous in good works!." - that was not a god example on how to correctly copy and paste, because that is a long chunk of text and there is no reason for it to be repeated twice.

Tip 2: When you are copying and pasting, clean up superfluous punctuation marks. To use the same example as before, this: "zealous in good works!." is incorrect, because a sentence should end with only a single punctuation mark.

Tip 3: Here's a novel idea - instead of copying and pasting something that other people wrote, why not write your own text? Are we to think that you're merely an echo of other voices? When will we hear your own voice?

    Tip 4
: Whether you decide to stick to copying and pasting other people's texts (which would be weird), or start to write on your own, proofreading is the way to go. When you are composing, there is a "Preview Post" next to "Submit Post" button. Use the preview button to proofread what you wrote.

I hope these tips were helpful. As man's help meet (Genesis 2:18) I love being helpful.

Personally, I would add a fifth item to this very helpful list.

Tip 5: Do not write sermons while under the influence of intoxicants such as malt liquor, marijuana, crack cocaine, bath salts, "purple drank," PCP, paint thinner, or jenkem.
I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
      Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

I have to be honest, Mr Slaw, I read your post and it struck me as being very Catholic in scope. For example, the Papists have this thing they call the Seven Deadly Sins and refer to several of them with clear affection. Furthermore, no negro would preach against the sin of sloth. It's just not in their nature.

I will pray to the Holy Ghost to guide me in this matter, dear. I don't trust you but if He says I should, then I will.

Well, let us have no more of that. I mean, the very idea of referring to dear Sister Mary as "Ma" is a terrible affront. I almost dropped my Royal Albert Country Roses teacup when I read it! Even if you dropped your laptop in the swimming pool, or whatever mumbo-jumbo alibi you said in another posting, that does not excuse you from being blatantly lazy and ignoring the opportunity to PROOF-READ and edit errors. I should mention that there is a little button under a post that says "EDIT". You might like to acquaint yourself with it.

This is how it works: After you have proof-read (carefully) your message, you have about 25 minutes to make alterations. By pressing that "EDIT" button, it will re-open your text window, and you can make adjustments, deletions, additions, whatever your heart desires (as long as it glorifies the ). Then, you can "SAVE" the edited copy by clicking on the appropriate button. And please don't say you don't think you can do it, because knows that you can and He has provided a way for you!

Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

You should pray to God for a better internet connection, dear. However, if you pray and the connection doesn't improve, well... that's not going to be a good sign, would it?
