  • Jesus was NOT a Middle Eastern Refugee!

We see it all the time, folks. People mock our faith, they ridicule our behavior, they poke fun and try to shame us into changing our stance. The latest argument falls on some pithy little phrase about Jesus having been a Middle Eastern Refugee, so we should feel sorry for those poor refugees, open our homes to them, give them our jobs, let them impregnate our daughters, blah blah blah, whah whah whah. Well, I've read the accounts of His miraculous birth and early travel, and nowhere have I found Jesus identified as a "refugee."

Good grief, the word isn't even in the Holy Bible. Don't take my word for it, check it for yourself. But more importantly than that, we can deduct logically the details to which we are not yet privy. We can deduce, for example, Jesus wouldn't have had any followers if he looked like your basic Arab. Why, one might argue the first miracle Jesus ever performed was to be born a white man in the Middle East, and no wonder. How in the world could God expect to catch man's attention looking like a sand negro?

Would you follow Jesus if He looked like this?

Do you think "Refugee Jesus" would haggle
    for your Salvation?

    Jesus would not have been
    welcomed into Jerusalem,
    as a King no less,
    if He looked like them.

Who would you trust standing behind your children at any moment,
smelling their hair (and looking really into it) when you're not around?
    Jesus or some Arab?

Who would you trust to be with you when you take on such serious temptations
as drug abuse or rage addiction?
    Jesus or some Arab?

Who would you trust leading an army of angry soldiers (Revelation 19:14),
ready to soak their feet in the blood of the wicked (Psalm 58:10)?
    Jesus, or some Arab?

Who would you rather be responsible for the death
of all life on earth save a chosen few?
    Jesus, or some Arab?

Who would you rather be in control of the White House?
    Jesus, or some Arab?

As we have seen, this whole argument is rather silly. Jesus was not a Middle Eastern Refugee. He did not share a boat with hundreds of other poor looking for a hand out in Europe. He does not blow people up when they don't convert. He patiently awaits their death, then Sparta-kickes them to Hell for all eternity, like a civilized, clean, honorable God. Hopefully we can now put it to rest.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

To me Jesus is the king of kings. Does that sound like a refugee to you?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Absolutely correct, Sister E. Jesus did not think, "Oh, there is trouble here, I'd better run and hide somewhere."

Jesus was a manager, a take-charge guy. When the Jews were defiling the Temple with their money changing, he didn't catch the first boat out, he attacked.

Those Christians in name only who are comparing todays hapless refugees with Jesus have not read the Bible.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

        Sister Mary,

Those are important questions and - unfortunately - for an overwhelming majority of the world's population they are not rhetorical questions. These sad but repulsive sinners actually cannot answer these seemingly difficult problems in their simplistic minds and hence they donate their souls to be used as a constant source of fuel for the everlasting fires of the Furnace (Matthew 13:59) that by the Miracle of Jesus are never consumed but can torment these eternally self-reviewing combustible materials in Hell ad infinitum.

For them, I have here the answers to be learned by heart:
        • No
        • No
        • Jesus
        • Jesus
        • Jesus
        • Jesus
        • Jesus

        John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

        Yours in Christ,

        Elmer
2 Kings 18:25 - Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

Personally, I want Jesus to kill me.

            CORRECT!!

Even when he was a Baby and Mary and Joseph took him to Egypt (Matthew 3:13-23), that was just a temporary thing, until Herod died. They were just temporarily traveling abroad to avoid Jesus from being slain with other babies (and they did nothing to warn the parents of these babies, either). They certainly did not live in a "refugee camp" while in Egypt, and while after coming back to Israel, they were too afraid to go back to their home, so they moved to Nazareth, but that does not make Jesus a refugee either. Not at all.
God created fossils to test our faith.
