Nathuram Godse, a hero to some hindaloos, assassinated Ghandi for the alleged reason that he felt he was treating the mooselimbs too well. Of course this was at a time when India was shipping all the mooselimbs to Pakistan because they didn't play well with others - certainly a lesson for our time and our present problems with the "religion of peace". And who says you can't move 12 million people around, and even with all the violence only a few million died.

Ghandi is actually one of my idols, right up there with Leonard Cohen. Both were committed to being revolutionaries which I greatly admire. The same could be said for Jesus.
