  • Pray for Our Persecuted Church

Landover Baptist seldom joins with other Christian groups because of their obvious shortcomings. But, when all Christians are persecuted we need to stand together.

That is why we are joining in the prayers to end persecution of Christians like those of us at Landover Baptist. We will be praying to end trolls who come to our church and try to explain the Bible, even though we are the world's Bible experts. We will pray to end the constant criticism of our condemnation of homers. We are only carrying out what the Bible tells us.

We are praying also for an end to criticism of how much money we collect and spend. We pay our pastors well and provide the cars and aircraft they need. We must pay well those who spread the words of Jesus.

Christians around the world know of the persecution we experience here at Landover Baptist and will be adding their prayers for it to end.

Various groups and churches across the world are taking part in the annual International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, overseen by the World Evangelical Alliance
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

I will be praying so hard that my forehead will be permanently furrowed and my hands virtually fused together.

So much persecution! I feel like President Trump!
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

And that's all the media ever brings up when it talks about Landover, or Westboro, or Martin Ssempa's ministry. "Homophobes" this and "bigots" that.

Christians only talk so much about sodomy because it's all over the place today. Did they talk about queers all the time in the 17th century? No! They talked about witchcraft, because it was the fashionable sin of THEIR day just as anal sex is in OUR time.

Why oh why must the liberal media distort our faith and persecute us so? We oppose those who wear mixed fabrics (Leviticus 19:19, Deuteronomy 22:11) exactly as much as we oppose faggots, but they don't sling mud at us for that!
I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
      Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

I may not live in Freehold but I will pray for Landover Baptist Church. I have to admire the dedication made to The Bible.
My name is Maxine Levantine. I am 17 and follow the KJV Bible to a T. If you are wanting to hit on me you can turn away. THIS is reserved for Jesus and my future husband (whoever that may be).

Oh, how I do thank you for mentioning this, dear Brother Mayor Hold. I'm sure we've all noticed an increase in the number of drive-by trolls visiting our blessed . I do believe that their unkind comments are because they are sent by Satan, to target , as they try, very foolishly, to find some sort of victory over the blessed assurances in the .

I can recall a recent sinner blasting us for one thing and another, and I mentioned that I was forgiving her for her insults to the servants of the here at ... as I know that this is what the expects of me:

Ephesians 4:32 "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

And I do take great comfort and delight in knowing that by being obediently forgiving, I am doing exactly that which expects of me, and for which He will bless me:

          Proverbs 25:21,22:
21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.

I shall be making your request for prayer a part of this week's McGill Street Wednesday Afternoon Tea Social & Prayer Meeting, which, this week, shall be held in my parlor.

A blessed day to you, dear Brother,
          Sincerely, Isabella W.

Re: Pray for Our Persecuted Church

Is it my imagination, but are we, like, one of the Top Ten Most Persecuted Churches in America?

It seems that we are regularly being told that we are awful and cruel and that we should cease to exist like some balding parrot.

People tell us that we are terrible and not Christian and threaten to call the Internet Police on us virtually every other week.

Thank Jesus that we have God's Holy and unerring Word to rely upon.

Truly, if they wish to ban us, then they must ban the Holy Bible as well.

Indeed, Sister! Thankfully, most of them seem to belong to the "One Day Special Only" variety of Sunday Warrior trolls!
