  • Proof that Purgatory is in the Bible

    Greetings Landoverian Baptists.

After doing some research i found the undeaniable proof that Purgatory is in the Bible. Here is the verse that proves it.

(Matthew 4:8) Iterum assumpsit eum diabolus in montem excelsum valde : et ostendit ei omnia regna mundi, et gloriam eorum, et dixit ei : Haec omnia tibi dabo, si cadens adoraveris me.

The mount is clearly none than Purgatory, this means another crushing victory for the true Church of God.

    Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Let's look at it, shall we?

We have here an exceedingly high mountain from which all kingdoms of the world can be seen. In a flat earth with four corners model (supported by the Bible, see citations provided on the image; additional citations are missing, such as Revelation 7:1), an exceedingly high mountain located near the center of the world would indeed be a point from which all kingdoms of the world are seen. No need to separate the mountain from the world as the Purgatory:

Since you are a Catholic, I know that you enjoy undermining what the Bible says. So let's entertain a vile heretic thought for a moment: maybe the Bible lied and the earth is not flat but rather resembles a ball, as the secular scientists would like us to believe. In this case, there would be no mountain on earth from which all kingdoms could be seen. Would that mean that the only point from which you could see all kingdoms would be a Purgatory mountain floating in space?

No. There is no single point from which you can see the entire surface of a sphere. From a single point, you can only see a portion of a sphere - and there is no vantage point in space where all of the kingdoms existing in the New and Old Worlds around Anno Domini 30 could have been seen within the round earth hypothesis.

Hence, we are left with the following choices:
    (1) The earth is flat and the devil took Jesus to the highest mountain on earth.
    (2) The earth is round in which case the citation does not make sense and seems like Matthew is making stuff up.
There simply is no option (3) that would include the presence of a purgatory.

    Quod erat demonstrandum, amice!

I choose and option (1). How about you, dear? Are you ready to repent now?
God created fossils to test our faith.

For me Purgatory is that moment between sobriety and blitzed. Usually, purging results.

Evil people and sinners go to hell, and those who follow God's word, Believe in Jesus, and try to spread the Good Word go to heaven. People write this off as, "Oh, Purgatory is Ghosts and stuff, ya know? unfinished business and sudden deaths" But Purgatory is real, and that's coming from a Catholic.
God Bless you and have a wonderful day!

How? How is it real? Please expand and support your argument. I would love to hear it. Please use the Bible.

I meant to say "Isn't", but I can't edit posts once I reply. I should really get better at proof reading.

Ok so you do agree that babies go to Hell if they die? Because the Bible says so.

Sadly, no, But I understand the consequences of not obeying EVERY word in the Bible, and I am willing to face them.

Well, here you go. Babies cannot obey every single word in the Bible, because they are - well, babies.

Hence, children that die in their infancy before being able to accept Jesus and follow the Bible, are condemned:

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Re: Proof that Purgatory is in the Bible

Purgatory is the make-believe line Catholics believe they have to wait in before being allowed to enter Heaven. Standing in this line makes waiting at the DMV look like DisneyLand in comparison. It lasts for what feels like an eternity, and is physically and mentally painful every moment.

Catholics teach this so they can convince as many of their daughters to become nuns and pretend to marry Jesus in a "Mystical Wedding" as they can. They do this in hopes of cutting to the front of the line when they die. Sacrificing their daughters to be the playthings of horny old men is second nature to a Catholic. They'll sacrifice anyone and anything to get out of that pretend line.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Actually babies that died early go to Heaven if they are baptized, but this is no longer necessary according to Pope Benedict XVI (who is still a pope even if he resigned), since is confirmed now that even unborn babies automatically go to Heaven.

Back that up with Scripture, not the blatherings of His Unholiness Pope Maledict.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

                            Here is the proof.

(Matthew 19:14) Iesus vero ait eis sinite parvulos et nolite eos prohibere ad me venire talium est enim regnum caelorum
