Friends, I'm sure many of you have questions about the revelation that our brother in Christ, Representative Tim Murphy (R-Pennsylvania), urged his mistress to have an abortion.

Some of you have asked me, how can a man who has been such a good friend to this church, and to the pro-life movement, have done such a thing?
And, more importantly, you have expressed concerns about the fate of brother Tim's aeternal soul.
I have prayed and prayed about this, and was directed to the relevant Bible verses, which prove conclusively that our ally, Rep. Tim Murphy, has not fallen out of favor with God.
Here are the reasons Rep. Tim Murphy is still on Jesus' list of favorite elected officials:
1. God prohibits abortion, except in those cases where He commands it.
Murphy's relationship with his mistress was, obviously, adulterous. And Numbers 5:11–31 states that if a man suspects his wife of adultery, she should be made to drink a poison that will cause her to have a miscarriage if she is, in fact, guilty of adultery.
So, clearly, while God treasures human life, and He really, really HATES abortion, in cases where the marriage vow has been broken, God will punish a slut by visiting abortion upon her. Though I'm sure it pains Him greatly.
2. Children born out of wedlock aren't really human, and are of no use to God.
Furthermore, if brother Tim's mistress had, in fact, turned out to be pregnant, her child would have been a bastard. As you all know, bastards are forbidden from attending church, as are their descendants, for ten generations!
3. Sometimes God wants us to kill non-Christians.
So, we are essentially talking about bringing into this world a baby who would be a non-Christian.
We know human life is sacred to God, but it's important to understand that when God refers to human life, He means believers who follow Him.
God hates to ever see any human life extinguished, but He tells us sometimes it is necessary for some to be killed, in order that his infinitely loving, compassionate, mysterious, hard-to-understand plans might be fulfilled.
And the some who must sometimes be killed are often unbelievers.
Kindly refer to Deuteronomy 13, Deuteronomy 17, and Numbers 13 for some examples of the value God places on the lives of unbelievers, relative to the value He sees in your life and mine.
4. God forgives all who repent and believe in Him.
Was it wrong for Rep. Tim Murphy to allow himself to get caught up in an extramarital affair? Absolutely! Will God cast brother Tim into the Lake of Fire for asking his harlot to have an abortion? I don't think so.
God's forgiveness is infinite, and I'm sure our friend Tim has already repented and asked Jesus to forgive him.
I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see brother Tim at our church's next clambake!

Numbers 5:21-22
21 here the priest is to put the woman under this curse—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse[b] among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. 22 May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.”
