The recent Ebola outbreak makes me wonder why God causes plagues. In the Old Testament we find many examples of of God bringing plagues “to make you see my power” (Exodus 9:14, 16).
God warns his own people about the consequences of disobedience. These consequences include (Leviticus 26:21, 25). In Numbers 16:49 and Numbers 25:9 God wipes out tens of thousands of people for various acts of disobedience. If people don't obey the Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation that will plague you until you die. (Deuteronomy 28:22).
It’s sometimes hard to imagine our loving and merciful God displaying such wrath and anger toward His people. But in the New Testament, Jesus healed “every disease and every sickness,” as well as plagues in the areas He visited (Matthew 9:35; 10:1; Mark 3:10). Just as God chose to use plagues and disease to show His power to the Israelites, Jesus healed Christians.
In the news, I see that two nice white Christians got Ebola in Africa. They came back to the USA and Jesus cured them. However, he has chosen to let the Nigro die and now he has chosen to demonstrate his wrath further on the nurse. I was worried about this, until I realized that she was a Chinawoman.
I would also point out that NOT ONE SINGLE CASE has been reported in Freehold.
From this I conclude that as long as we are True Christians, we will be safe from Ebola. The black and the yellow man, however, have been peeving off God for thousands of years and He has clearly had enough of their nonsense.
