Some of you may have heard that the city of Flint, Michigan, has been dealing recently (only the last two years or so) with levels of lead in tap water exceeding the definition of "hazardous waste."
What is the big deal? You might ask. We all know that Jesus doesn't want us to drink water, but wine:
1 Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
Therefore, all of the people in Flint suffering from lead poisoning and the legionnaires' disease are guilty of their own sickness. It wouldn't have happened if they simply avoided drinking water!
Moreover, we know that everything that happens, happens because God wants it to happen:
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?
Also, we know that poisonous water is a plague sent by God:
Exodus 7:17-21
17 Thus saith the Lord, In this thou shalt know that I am the Lord: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.
18 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall lothe to drink of the water of the river.
19 And the Lord spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the Lord commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
21 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
While the water in Flint didn't literally change into blood, it certainly has a brownish color and a funky smell.
Flint is a city of black lazy bums, who have no place to work after most of the car factories closed up and moved to places like Taiwan and Singapore. As a city of poor black people, it was an ideal place for God to unleash a Godly plague. It was God's Will that the city manager appointed by the Godly Governor Snyder made the switch from using clean Detroit water to corrosive Flint River water. It was God's Will that Governor Snyder allowed the city of Flint to not add an anti-corrosive agent to the drinking water for two years, so that the corrosive Flint River water could eat through the lead pipes and take that lead straight to the consumers' houses.
Over a year ago - in October 2014 - General Motors decided to switch back from Flint to Detroit water, as the Flint water was too corrosive and was eating up the car parts. However, the continuous cover-up of the whole issue for the past two years (since April 2014, when the switch was made) was most certainly God's Will.
It was God's Will, when the Michigan Department of Water Quality altered a report of water quality submitted byt the city of Flint, dropping the two samples with the highest lead content, so that the overall average would be below maximum lead content allowed by the EPA.
It was God's Will, that when a Flint pediatrician Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha began to question the quality of drinking water due to the skyrocketing numbers of children with lead poisoning, she was labeled a hysterical researcher whose numbers didn't add up.
It was God's Will, that when a rogue EPA worker named Miguel Del Toral conducted a study of Flint water (on his own time, the EPA did not want him to do that) in February 2015 and submitted his findings in July, he was not only ignored but also accordingly punished for getting involved in things that didn't concern him.
It was also God's Will, that when a research team from Virginia Tech decided to volunteer and study Flint water last August, and subsequently made public their results (which showed that the levels of lead were high enough to consider Flint tap water as hazardous waste), they were dismissed by state officials for being liars with pants on fire.
Everything was just perfect, until NPR blew things up with a ridiculous documentary, and then other media picked up the story, and the story blew completely out of proportion. Now it's a "state of emergency" all of the sudden in Flint - now, two years after the corrosive water began to be used. Our poor Godly Republican Governor Rick Snyder is the True Victim™ of this ordeal, being forced to say that he didn't know about anything. Of course it's not his fault. it was God's Will!
Moral of the story: praise Jesus and thank Him that you, the reader of this story, live in a comfortable white neighborhood where such a thing never would have happened.
