I am having a debate with a scumbag atheist and I am trying to explain to the uneducated fool that God can exist outside of space and time. I would like to conclude the debate by quoting proof from The Bible.

Why not go with Genesis?

Genesis 1:1-5
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

This passage is a bit more tricky then it seems, but let's see:

Genesis 1:1 tells us that God created space (heaven and earth) - therefore, He existed before space.

Genesis 1:3-5 tells us that God created light (not the sun, that did not happened until the fourth day of creation, Genesis 1:14-19; the first day God just made the light without any source of it).

Genesis 1:5 tells us that the sourceless light He created marked the first day. Since it was the first day, that means that this is when time began -therefore, here we have proof that God existed before time.

The LORD is not limited by the physical laws and dimensions that govern our world (Isaiah 57:15). God Himself tells us He is Spirit (John 4:24), and we know He can see through space (ie, into our hearts; Jeremiah 17:10; Acts 1:24) and through time (ie, into our future, Isaiah 46:9-10; Revelation 21:6) and can thus manipulate both according to His Will (Matthew 6:10).

The science of physics tells us that time is a property resulting from the existence of matter. As such, time exists where matter exists. But God is not matter. God is love (1 John 4:8), and love has no physical bounds, no temporal bounds. If you've ever lost someone you love, you'll know your love for them doesn't cease to exist when they do, it exists beyond their existence. This is how I imagine it to work for God and time.

We know the resurrected Jesus was no longer bound by physical factors. He walked through walls to the surprise and delight of His disciples (John 20:19). Eight days later He did it again for Thomas (John 20:26). And that's only two times we know about! If you could walk through walls, don't you think you'd be doing it all. the. time?

But the real evidence comes from His Glorious Ascension into Heaven, where He is seated at the Right Hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), who is also Himself (John 10:30), another indication of His ability to transcend the laws of physics and logic that He Himself invented.

By ascending into the clouds, up in to the higher atmosphere, into the stratosphere, into outer space without the need of oxygen or pressure stabilization suits, Jesus defied the laws of physics. No human body could do such a thing and escape the natural forces of pressure, the implosion on the lungs, the gushing of blood out of every conceivable orifice. Being God, however, Jesus not only did just this without any physical damage, He did so in defiance of the laws of Time.

Jesus ascended into Heaven...

On the day of his resurrection.

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre,
bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
Luke 24:1-51

Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week,
he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven,
and sat on the right hand of God.
Mark 16:9-19

Eight days after his resurrection.

And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut,
and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
John 20:26

Forty days after his resurrection.

To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs,
appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up;
and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Acts 1:3-9

There you have it! One Glorious Event! Never to be repeated! Performed on Three Different Days!


It can Only be a Miracle! And it can Only be done by One who Transcends Space and Time!

These tiresome atheist "scientists" just can't seem to get away from God - indeed, they claim to have found Him in 2012 over in SwissoFrance (of all places). As ever blasphemous, they couldn't quite get around to calling Him God so they invent clever names like "Higgs boson" (aka "God particle").

Stephen Hawking bet Gordon Kane $100 that physicists would not discover the Higgs boson. After losing that bet when physicists detected the particle in 2012, Hawking lamented the discovery, saying it made physics less interesting. Now, in the preface to a new collection of essays and lectures called "Starmus," the famous theoretical physicist is warning that the particle could one day be responsible for the destruction of the known universe.

Hawking is not the only scientist who thinks so. The theory of a Higgs boson doomsday, where a quantum fluctuation creates a vacuum "bubble" that expands through space and wipes out the universe, has existed for a while. However, scientists don't think it could happen anytime soon.

"Most likely it will take 10 to the 100 years (a 1 followed by 100 zeroes) for this to happen, so probably you shouldn't sell your house and you should continue to pay your taxes," Joseph Lykken, a theoretical physicist at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois, said during his lecture at the SETI Institute on Sept. 2. "On the other hand it may already happened, and the bubble might be on its way here now. And you won't know because it's going at the speed of light so there's not going to be any warning."
