Faith is beliving without seeing, but there is still proof about Jesus in the Bible.

But making up things and saying that its true eg. all Europeans "discard" God. You have no proof that all Europeans "discard God.

This is genius. You sure you need that much genocide? I'm also an Atheist like Mr Gervais, and I therefore have no belief in a God so does that mean my entire city with men, women, children and animals must be killed? Well, apart from some of the women anyway, you need to save a few for raping. Obviously.

Friend, atheists secretly believe in God. How could they not? They just hate Him.

And yes, that's what the Bible tells us: genocide. If you have a problem with that, you have to take it up with God.
        Psalm 81:10:
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

You seem to take pleasure in genocide and rape, and the very thought of it makes you include a lol-smilie.

Did you even click the hyper-linked Bible-references?

I don't take pleasure in the actual acts of genocide or rape, but I do take pleasure in reading the absolute drivel posted in that first post. It's also irrelevant whether I read the Bible references or not, as reading them wouldn't change my opinion on it. It's hilarious in it's levels of ridiculousness.

Can you please cite which scripture in the first post you think is "drivel?" the original poster did a great job in citing all of his evidence. As you can see, many of the punishments are describe multiple times from different books in the Bible.

Listen, we didn't come to your home and mock you, why are you coming into our home and mocking the word of the Lord? All we want is to make sure that everyone knows what the Bible actually says.

Since every part of the chart is based on the literal words of the Bible which were written by God, I must ask again:

What parts of the scripture do you think is drivel?

Or is it simply taht you don't want peopel to knwo what the Bibel actually says on such matters?

Wait a minute. You're the one who kicks in the door to our holy congregation and marches down the aisle of virtual church in your Atheistic jackboots. How tolerant is that?

You may think that God's word (KJV1611) is "drivel", "hilarious" and "ridiculous", but I can assure you we take the Bible quite religiously here in Freehold. We didn't write the Bible, but we sure follow it.

Re: The Ten Commandments and their Punishments

A few of the commandments aren't drivel. I agree with:

Honour thy father and thy mother:
                    Thou shalt not kill.
                    Thou shalt not steal
                    Thou shalt not commit adultery

The rest are meh for me. I know what's right and wrong, I have morals. I don't happen to believe in god either, so alot of those are majorly irrelevant. The commandments themselves aren't what I was calling drivel though, it was the punishments, which I find stupidly extreme and the wording quite funny. Especially the part: '
In some cases you can keep the girls alive for raping' Which for me was a LOLworthy line. Who'd have thought God loved abit of rape?

That is not quite the spirit of the interpretation; it seems that The Lord had in mind the fact that the virgins would have no man to guide them through life, no father or brother to be able to sell them into marriage.

I’m sure even an atheist can see that this would create the most awful of social problems. Thus, by giving them work as concubines, their welfare is assured. A solution that has so many applications today.

(I feel it is explanations such as this that bring the most hardened heart around to praisuing The Lord of Hosts.)

What is a commandment without the threat of punishment? This is the WHOLE REASON Jesus came to us. I'll explain except I don't think the demon that is obviously living in you will let you hear the words of GOD's TRUTH:

The Old Testament doesn't go into a lot of detail about Hell. Those sissy lie-beral Christians that read the NIV even claim that the Old Testament doesn't even MENTION Hell. They claim that the word "Sheol" is properly translated into "grave" and not into "Hell" as it is in the KJV1611. The problem with this is that Sheol is a he-brew word and can not be trusted. That is why the Bible was translated into American.

That siad, God's focus in the OT is on the every-day punishments you see listed in the chart. These all have to do with physical punishment of sinners while they are still alive...usually by ending their lives. But for some people (read: "most of humanity") the threat of genocide or being kept as a sex slave and THEN being killed was not enough of a threat to make them walk the straight and narrow line. They figured that they could just do what they want, take the risk and if they die, they die and that's it.

That is why God sent Baby Jesus to us to tell us about a new punishment for us: Hell. Now with a Jesus-Backed translation of "Hell," God will follow sinners PAST THE GRAVE and torment them for all eternity. This is why the New Testament is SO important. It PROVES that God is trying to find the absolute worst punishment for sinners that there ever could be. He wasn't satisfied with killing people and having them raped, he wanted to torture them in lakes of fire for all time. And that is what Jesus, and therefore all of CHRISTianity, is all about.

                        So to sum it up.

                        1) God USED to focus on punishing people in this world ONLY (the ways listed in the chart.)

                        2) People kept sinning.

                        3) God sent Jesus to us to tell us that he was upping the punishment from ending your life to torturing you in the worst way imaginable for all of time. This is Jesus's message, make no mistake about it.

                        4) So NOW you risk BOTH the Old Testament punishments listed in the chart AS WELL as a certainty of eternal torture.

Now tell me again why we should not warn everyone we love and all of humanity about this message from Jesus?

Who'd have thought God loved abit of rape?
Anyone who has read the Bible word for word, that's who!

I follow it because, as you say, God wrote it. I don't know why God wrote it, but then again, I don't know why he hates Fags. He just does. Why can't you simply read the text of the Bible for yourself and see that, despite what the "liberal" Christians want you to believe about their religion, I am just saying what the Bible says?
