Friends, we hear a lot of whining about how horrible "rape" is, and granted, "rape" is fornication and so it's a one-way trip to hell if unrepented (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), but is it really one of the worst crimes possible?
The way to determine how bad a crime is is to take a look at the punishment for that crime. We know that burglary is worse than jaywalking because the punishment fits the crime. You go to prison for burglary but only get a ticket if you jaywalk.
By following this unimpeachable logic, we only need to look at the punishments God demands from the laws HE has passed (and liberals through the years have whittled away at, bringing this great nation to the brink of disaster).
We already know the punishment for rape depends on the circumstances...
Deuteronomy 22:23-29 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you
But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die. But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter: For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
So as you can see, God's Law demands capital punishment only if the damsel is NOT A VIRGIN! If this crime was as heinous as the liberal whiners and feminazis make it out to be, God would have said it's always worthy of the death penalty!
Working on a Sunday, however, that is breaking the Sabbath. This is important enough to THE LORD that He made it one of his TOP TEN laws, one of the TEN COMMANDMENTS!
Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
And what punishment does God demand of people who break His Sabbath?
Exodus 31:14-15 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Exodus 35:2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.
PUT TO DEATH! There are NO EXCEPTIONS and important enough that the Lord felt He had to repeat it, just one plain and clear law that anyone who works on the Sabbath should have a date with a pile of stones! (Or these days more humanely with lethal injection, the electric chair, or gas chamber. Write to your congressman and ask him why our laws are contradicting God's laws!)
Based on this incontrovertible evidence, breaking the Sabbath is obviously worse than rape.
So what else is worse than rape?
Well, murder obviously...
Numbers 35:30 Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.
Stealing and selling a man (as opposed to LEGAL slavery)...
Exodus 21:16 And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.
Hitting or cursing your parents...
Exodus 21:15 And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
Exodus 21:17 And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
Witchcraft...
Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
Adultery, of course. As noted above, rape is only a capital offense if the woman isn't a virgin, so if she's not a wanton slut who fornicates with any man who smiles at her, then she's obviously married.
Leviticus 20:10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
The list goes on...
Homosexuality (Leviticus 20:13)
Blasphemy (Leviticus 24:16)
Incest (Leviticus 20:11-14)
Being a stubborn and rebellious son (Deuteronomy 21:18-21)
And a woman not being a virgin on her wedding night...
Deuteronomy 22:12-21 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her ... and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid: Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate: And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her ... and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city ... But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel ... Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die.
As we can see here, there are MANY heinous crimes that are WORSE THAN RAPE! Crimes that God said are worthy of death with no exception (but He also told us to obey secular law, so DO NOT take God's law into your own hands).
Once we have a good, non-RINO president and senate to go with our GOP congress, we can finally work on getting God's Law made into the law of the land and we'll finally once more see TRUE MORAL JUSTICE reign over this nation!
