The problem with this thread is that everyone in here that is trying to bring down Anne Frank are very scared. They are "god fearing" and they feel that there is someone watching their every move, and yes, they believe they will be part of the select few that go on to live after death. Its fun to watch, though a bit sad. Basing logic off the Bible is as useful as basing logic off of a pile of dog crap.

Our planet is only here for a short while longer. Roughly 4-5 billions years from now, not long in the grand scheme of things. This is completely unavoidable. There is no force that has ever existed or that will ever exist that can change this outcome. God couldn't even do this because this is science, the same science that has improved your life more than a God could.

To be honest, the thing with this comparison is that it was all a bit six of one, half dozen of the other. All that holocaust stuff reminds me of playground squabbling.

On one hand, jews like Anne Frank did incite Hitler but, on the other hand, his reaction was rash to say the least. I'm going to have to go with Anne Frank on this one but only because she started it.

If there was a God, I'd smack some sense into him and there would be nothing "he" could do, because the "he" described in the Bible is a hypocritical, comical God. There is really no debate, because anything you cite comes from men and the other books of the Bible that were written by women.

Since we've established that the men and women that wrote the Bible are inbred and nonsensical, and that you all are followers to them, we can easily see the relation here between a bunch of white people that have never been in a fight in their life, and some inbred writers. Thank you based God.

So I guess since you are so smart and so powerful then on judgment day you will "smack" some sense into God instead of letting him throw you into the Hell you deserve. Sounds great.

Science is more beautiful and mesmerizing than anything the Bible could produce. If you truly appreciated how small Earth is compared to our solar system, and how small our solar system is to our galaxy, and how small our galaxy is to our universe, you'd feel ridiculous believing in a God. There is a reason why every new discovery is founded by science and not religion. When was the last time someone invented a product and said that the knowledge came from the Bible instead of physics and chemistry?

This is not necessarily a fault of your own, but rather the environment that you were raised in, where critical thinking was not considered a valuable trait most likely. I don't need religion or non-religion to tell me what to do. I am the universe, as are you. We are made out of the exact same compound and elements that make up our Sun, other planets, other galaxies. There is no difference. We are made FROM the Universe, we are not some separate entity. Everything you've ever seen or heard about that actually exists is made out of almost the exact same thing, from plastic toys to human beings.

I don't need anything other than the brain that I possess to evaluate whether or not I should kill something. Here's the thing.. most of the people on this forum talk very big but they probably haven't ever actually had a serious confrontation in their life. They don't know what its like to be on your own and to find conflict and address the conflict. They imagine that it is pretty, clean, easy, but people that have actually addressed life-threatening conflict understand it differently. Its the same reason why soldiers often times have trouble reintegrating themselves into modern culture when they return, because they have experienced real conflict, while others (most of you) only envision what real conflict is, and thus hid behind your keyboards. This is fine, because frankly, most people on here don't matter to most other people.

So when you say you NEED the Bible to tell you when its okay to kill someone, you are instead saying something along the lines of "I do not have the power to kill someone, I would otherwise not rise to conflict if it wasn't for this book written by man". That is nothing to brag about, as many others need no other reason but their conscience.

What does this mean? Many of our members (such as myself) are tough country boys who grew up in the south and know how to put a mouthy colored in their place. We stick up for ourselves. I bet you don't even own a gun.

Atheists really are dumb. We are a great big community (125,000 + in Freehold alone) and our families are close. Not to mention, we practically own America. You know nothing.

You say you are nothing without the Bible and you are right about that. You contribute nothing else in this world and are only relevant to each other through the Bible. Unfortunately, you can't take that with you when you die, although I know you desperately wish you could.

Basically the problem here is that you aren't really familiar with how to argue for your beliefs. I know you believe in them, you just simply aren't able to articulate an empirical point that can't be countered. Using generalities as your fundamental logic makes you look desperate to come across as knowledgeable, and believe me, you loooove your generalities.

I think whats best is if you just sit back in your rocker and enjoy the remainder of your life.
