To any of you who believe that the earth is flat...

How do you explain away the thousands and thousands of pictures of the earth taken by Nasa and other space agencies that clearly show that the earth is a sphere????

I think we should look at Occam's razor - which is more likely? Your turgid and unlikely scenario involving massive bodies and magically moving stars or that God is right?

Well let me see... (thinks for a while)... God.

    And there we have it.

The fact of the matter is, there are all sorts of Biblical verses that make no sense if the Earth is a sphere -- without corners or ends. Therefore, the Earth must be flat.
"And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the Earth." Isaiah 11:12.

"And after these things I saw four angels standing on four corners of the Earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree." Revelation 7:1.

"That it might take hold of the ends of the Earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?" Job 38:13.

"O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the Earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit." Jeremiah 16:19.

"The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the ends of the Earth." Daniel 4:11.
    Yours in Him,
    BAB
If the Earth was round we would fall off. Gravity only works for on on a flat surface. Try to coast up a hill and prove me right. I was hoome schouled and I had an advantage in Bible school.

Your ignorance is exposed here, I'm afraid. While, it is true that gravity can bend light, the effect is not great enough such that light would envelop the entire earth.

The proof of this lies with the experiment which was proposed by Einstein when he tested general relativity during an eclipse:

"If space really was distorted by gravity, then light passing through it would not travel in a straight line, but would follow a curved path. The stronger the force of gravity, the more the light would be bent. The bending would be largest for light passing very close to a very massive body, such as the Sun.

Unfortunately, the most massive objects known to astronomers at the time were also very bright. This was before black holes were seriously considered, and stars provided the strongest gravitational fields known. The Sun was particularly useful, being a star right on our doorstep. But it is impossible to see how the light from faint background stars might be bent by the Sun’s gravity, because the Sun’s light is so bright it completely swamps the light from objects beyond it.

Eddington realised the solution. Observe during a total eclipse, when the Sun’s light is blotted out for a few minutes, and you can see distant stars that appear close to the Sun in the sky. If Einstein was right, the Sun’s gravity would shift these stars to slightly different positions, compared to where they are seen in the night sky at other times of the year when the Sun far away from them. The closer the star appears to the Sun during totality, the bigger the shift would be."

Because it has nothing to do with our Salvation. Hell could be five miles away or five million, it will still be just as agonizing when you're burning there forever.

Thank you for the correction on the verse adress, i typed it incorectly
However if you add the tent description to the flat crcle then there is still no argument of the depth of the earth.

Giving head to youth, for one thing. It is statutory rape. See California Penal Code Section 261.5(d) (available online here).

the next time you try to make a call to laws make sure you know what the <potty mouth vocabulary removed> you are talking about
I think I know just a little more about the law than you do. Funny how that works when you go to law school.

<potty mouth vocabulary removed>.... well we now know who has a crude mind in this thread
    Indeed we do.

Unlike you, I both own and use a dictionary, so it's not necessary to point me to one online.
