Also, as to your "gravity bending light" idea, I think I can put that to rest.
First, we have the equation for the force of gravity between two objects.

F=G* (M#1 *M#2)/ D^2

F= Force
G= The Universal Gravity Constant: 6.67*10 ^-11
M#1 = The mass of the first object.
M#2 = The mass of the second object.
D = The distance between the two objects.

M#1 = A photon of light moving at the speed of light. (5.525 *10 ^-36 kg) Take note that a photon at rest has zero mass.
M#2 = Mass of the earth. (5.96*10 ^24 kg)
For D, pick an arbitrary number. Let's say, for the purpose of this equation, that the light is 100 m (meters) away.
Alright, now we put the numbers in place of the variables that represent them, and solve. I'll do this a step at a time.
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * ((5.525*10^-36) *(5.96*10^24))/ (100)
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * (3.2929*10^-11)/(100)
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * (3.2929*10^-13)
F= 2.1963643*10^-23
So, F= 0.0000000000000000000000021963643
That's an EXTREMELY small number. Almost no effect WHATSOEVER.

We can even use the zero for photon mass, if it suits you.
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * ((0) *(5.96*10^24))/ (100)
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * (0)/(100)
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * (0)
F=0
Therefore, there is NO EFFECT on a photon that is not moving. So, there is either little to no effect on a photon of light.

however science has done quite a bit to improve the world we are living in, it has gave us many medicines, anesthetics, electronics, and explanations for many things around us. I will not disagree with you completely on open the bible, as you will not put your faith in science, however i do feel that a smooth blending of both is a great outlook to have.

No, you are traveling in a circle, but in the same sense, you can follow the equator of the earth around, making a complete circle around the earth.

Also, there is a difference between the sun and a flashlight, as a flashlight is a directed source of light, of a much greater size and intensity than a flashlight, or any other source of light we have on earth for that matter. And following up on light (i see a common arguement on here is that gravity bends light, so therefore if the earth was round we would have constant daylight), as you approach the poles of the earth, so in places such as Antarctica, there is constant daylight some months of the year, depending on where exactly the earth is on its orbit around the sun. So for your theory to be true, there would have to be two suns, as daylight is so long in places like Alaska or Antarctica, because if the earth was flat and there was only one sun, and the sun orbited around the earth, everywhere would have to same amount of daylight every single day, and its obvious there is only one sun.

Of course there is only one sun.

It sounds like you are in desparate need a geography lesson. When you cross the Atlantic from North America, you end up in Europe, not Asia.
