Nice cut-and-paste job, boy.
Which chapter in the Holy Bible is all that gobbeldy-gook covered?

Re: Flat Earth? Hell Yes!
I don't see you answering his question. Maybe your arguments aren't quite as ironclad as you think?
Also, as to your "gravity bending light" idea, I think I can put that to rest.
First, we have the equation for the force of gravity between two objects.
F=G* (M#1 *M#2)/ D^2
F= Force
G= The Universal Gravity Constant: 6.67*10 ^-11
M#1 = The mass of the first object.
M#2 = The mass of the second object.
D = The distance between the two objects.
M#1 = A photon of light moving at the speed of light. (5.525 *10 ^-36 kg) Take note that a photon at rest has zero mass.
M#2 = Mass of the earth. (5.96*10 ^24 kg)
For D, pick an arbitrary number. Let's say, for the purpose of this equation, that the light is 100 m (meters) away.
Alright, now we put the numbers in place of the variables that represent them, and solve. I'll do this a step at a time.
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * ((5.525*10^-36) *(5.96*10^24))/ (100)
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * (3.2929*10^-11)/(100)
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * (3.2929*10^-13)
F= 2.1963643*10^-23
So, F= 0.0000000000000000000000021963643
That's an EXTREMELY small number. Almost no effect WHATSOEVER.
We can even use the zero for photon mass, if it suits you.
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * ((0) *(5.96*10^24))/ (100)
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * (0)/(100)
F= (6.67 *10^-11) * (0)
F=0
Therefore, there is NO EFFECT on a photon that is not moving. So, there is either little to no effect on a photon of light.

Timezones happen because foreigners are lazy and like to get up late. The degenerate Mary-hailing Spaniards like to have siestas, does this prove that God's creation is shaped like a banana?Originally posted by Forest_dweller View PostBorn_again_bob.
Am I to believe that your post claims that all scientific knowledge and common sense are weaker then the Bible? The Bible is both full of metaphors and written by people. That is a large hole in your "theory". How is it possible to...
Watch a sunrise, have time-zones, see the curvature of the earth off a high mountain, take flights that go around the world?
And it's been known to be flat for even longer, so it'd be even more foolish to abandon that and assume it's a sphere because of some hellbound heathens getting up to Jew japes.The shape of the earth has been known to be a sphere for quite some time, it is incredibly foolish to abandon that and assume it's flat because of a verse in the bible involving the earth and corners.
That's nice, seeing how God wants us to love Him with quite a bit of our heart and quite a bit of our soul and quite a bit of our might. No, wait, that's not what He said, is it?Originally posted by Take That View PostI myself am i christian, not of this landover baptist faith, or any baptist faith, and my morals are based quite a bit on the bible itself
Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Christianity is an all-or-nothing deal. If you get Jesus to forgive quite a bit of your sins, do you think that'll save quite a bit of your soul from eternal torture in Hell?
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.however science has done quite a bit to improve the world we are living in, it has gave us many medicines, anesthetics, electronics, and explanations for many things around us. I will not disagree with you completely on open the bible, as you will not put your faith in science, however i do feel that a smooth blending of both is a great outlook to have.
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
Sorry, it looks like your smooth blending of Christianity and atheism doesn't impress God much. You have to pick one or the other: God's word, or secular "rationality". What's it going to be then, eh?

Of course there is only one sun.Originally posted by Take That View PostNo, you are traveling in a circle, but in the same sense, you can follow the equator of the earth around, making a complete circle around the earth.
Also, there is a difference between the sun and a flashlight, as a flashlight is a directed source of light, of a much greater size and intensity than a flashlight, or any other source of light we have on earth for that matter. And following up on light (i see a common arguement on here is that gravity bends light, so therefore if the earth was round we would have constant daylight), as you approach the poles of the earth, so in places such as Antarctica, there is constant daylight some months of the year, depending on where exactly the earth is on its orbit around the sun. So for your theory to be true, there would have to be two suns, as daylight is so long in places like Alaska or Antarctica, because if the earth was flat and there was only one sun, and the sun orbited around the earth, everywhere would have to same amount of daylight every single day, and its obvious there is only one sun.
As I said before, this has already been explained here in this very thread. Please read the whole thread before raising the same tired "objections" that have already been put to rest.
Are you going to be lazy, or do I have to scroll back through and find it for you.
Remind me again why I let you out of quarantine?

I can drive from Charlotte to Atlanta to San Diego to Seattle to New York to Charlotte. I have made a circle. Does that prove that the United States is a sphere?Originally posted by Take That View Postyes, however you can get to asia through europe, however, my point is still valid with any type of transpiration by air, like a plane or helicopter, you can go around the world, making a circle and end up where you first started, I'm interested to see your reply to this and hear what your theory is behind this
That's already been answered in this thread several times. If I shine a flashlight against one part of my ceiling, howcome the other parts of my ceiling are still dark?Originally posted by Take That View Postkind of like the one that said the sun goes under the earth at night, which to rebuttle, if this was infact the case, howcome it is dark in China when it is daylight over here and vise versa?

It sounds like you are in desparate need a geography lesson. When you cross the Atlantic from North America, you end up in Europe, not Asia.Originally posted by Take Thatbut on that topic, as stated in the bible, the four corners of the earth, this refers to north, south, east, and west, if the earth was flat, it would be completely impossible to be able to travel from North America to Asia using both the Atlantic and Pacific Seas, or fly a plane along both of those paths.

Now you are shifting the burden of proof. You say that science is so great, but you haven't made a single argument in its favor. We don't have a single reason to buy what you're selling.
