And if you learn about skeleton, humans actually do have a bone in their pelvis that resembles a tail. Because when we are barely developing, our first 4 weeks after fertilization, we do have tails that are absorbed into the body as we grow. And there are rare instances of people being born with a tail due to a mutation.

After all, our LORD created light on the first day of creation (Genesis 1:3), but created the sun and the moon and all the stars (Genesis 1:14) on the fourth day. That doesn't sound logical to me, but it does sound miraculous. I would say our LORD is miraculous. For one to hear the Word and be wooed by the Spirit doesn't take logic, it takes God. Did you read something about Paul's conversion on the Road to Damascus occurring because of a logical dialog? (hint, read the Acts of the Apostles, you'll find it's not there)

Although the differences between one "translation" and another are not usually very numerous, they ARE very significant, leaving out important words & verses, in accordance with their agenda, or deliberately mistranslating passages to conform with their own views.

For example, Jonah was commanded by God to preach in Nineveh. Jonah sailed off in the opposite direction, a storm blew up, he was thrown overboard and swallowed by a large fish. The fish vomited him up and he then did go to Nineveh which as a consequence was spared from destruction. As Jonah sat outside the city by night God caused a gourd to grow up over his head and also a worm to destroy the plant before sunrise so that Jonah got sunstroke the following day.

Jonah 4:11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

I am a full believer in God's creation. That said, I am also a believer that those who use abysmally flawed logic in an effort to proselytize damage the global effort to spread the Good News to as many people as possible in hopes that they will be saved.

When the logic doesn't even add up for fellow Christians, why would a non-Christian "see the light" after reading or upon hearing an argument that makes no sense in terms of the logic in between the premises and the conclusion?

It does not stand to reason that if hypothetically humans evolved from other life forms without the hand of God, that we would therefore have three arms. The conclusion simply does not follow, and it damages the credibility of other Christians who are using more accurate, not to mention persuasive arguments.

We have the truth on our side, and therefore need not exaggerate or resort to fallacious logic in our efforts to introduce Jesus to those who lack the good fortune of having come to know and accept Him as their savior.

This is not meant to be an attack on the commentator, however I fully stand by the point that I am making, and believe that Christianity would be much better off if those debating its merits did so using sound reasoning in which the conclusion of the argument is a valid sum of the premises used to arrive at said conclusion.

Evolution doesn't hold that humans are descended from monkeys, rather, it holds that humans & other primates had a common ancestor. Think about it like this: Americans are mostly descended from Europeans. Yet there are still Europeans. In this analogy, the older group of Europeans represent the common ancestor. Some of these people left & became Americans, some stayed where they were & became modern europeans. Get it?

So.... There should still be half-monkeys around, according to your theory? Don't tell me negroes are the missing link between monkeys and humans, since they can't breed with each other. Or might your example be oversimplified and retarded? If transitional states aren't consumed in the process of becoming a new species, we should find more of them.

There is no scientific theory, evolutionary or otherwise, that states life evolved out of rocks & lightning. Basically, the most commonly held scientific theory for the origin of life is this: Some proteins, when left to their own devices, self replicate. On primitive earth there were some of these proteins kicking about & self replicating. (now, note that you can't apply your 'where did these proteins evolve from' to this, because these proteins aren't actually alive. Theyre just naturally occuring molecules that replicate themselves.) Anyway, over time (a LOT of time) the proteins began to conform to the laws of natural selection & became more complex. Until, eventually we had single celled organisms meeting the definition of 'life'.

Seriously, did you ever follow a biology class? Even though I'm home schooled, I know the flaw in here. How do you think proteins can self replicate? Hint: Proteins can't store information. How should an argenine know where to incorporate a new argenine? Why don't we have self replicating proteins anymore?

There is no set of rules for how evolution works. Mutation happens purely by chance. Sharks remain largely in the same form that they did millions of years ago because it works. Mutations only survive to produce change if they are advantageous. However given the diversity in sharks (consider the hammer head) show that there have been changes and what works well sticks around (e.g. fusiform shape). Sharks didn't need to evolve to land animals because they had plenty of food in the sea. Here is an example of a possible explanation for fish out of the sea... One species of fish was being out competed by another species. It found that plants near the shore were more abundant. It and its progeny spent more time near the shore. The progeny that were able to get a little bit closer to the land and spend more time out of the water were better able to get those plants. Eventually they made it onto land. New niches were found and species in turn began to specialize. Several species of fish, arthropods, etc. Without taking a whole 10 pages to explain this further, you would have also had carnivorous fish that followed. Former herbivores may have turned carnivorous. But sharks who already dominated their food chain wouldn't necessarily need to follow the migration to land.

Well I don't think that Cain and his sis weren't the only ones. Really they were not, I swear. We can trace the genetic history of our race to a bottleneck event were there were as few as a couple hundred individuals. And even if it came down to two indivuals, there are these wonderful thing scall segregation, independent assortment, variation and mutation. Lethal and detrimental mutations in that era would prevent them from reproducing. Genes would mutate through generations and produce variation.

Well...fossilization is a very rare event. Otherwise we would have fossils from every form of life, but the requirements for it to occur are not common. Pair that with something that is microscopic and tends not to fossilize at all unless you have trillions of cells together and the physical evidence was never preserved.

This question is so stupid I have a hard time not yelling at my computer screen. Well mud is what happens when you mix water with dirt. So why is there still dirt...well we would have much to stand on if it disappeared now would we? In fact with out rock, dirt, metal, etc. we wouldn't have a planet. What I think you are asking is about what we call the "primordial soup". When the earth was young it was a mix of chemicals, elements and such. With the right temperature, available elements and pH they will spontaneously bond due to their chemical properties. They bond in ways that they like to bond. They create amino acids, nucleic acids, lipids, membranes, proteins and DNA. Through billions of years they eventually were incorporated with each other. It is mysterious and wonderful, complex and confusing. And we can reproduce some of these early events in a lab.

And if I could blame anyone for them, I blame Christ. Christ taught us to be charitable, to help those in need. Well those are laws regarding physics/chemistry and are talking about energy, particularly transfer of energy. Evolution as a process is not subject to those laws. I would recommend actually reading a little bit more about the subject of Scientific laws before attaching them to everything in science.

It is indeed surprising that we have as many transitional forms as we do. Fossilization is incredibly rare, and then finding those fossils is not easy to do either...Think of all the places on earth we have to look! Fortunately we have geologists who study the earth's rocks and sedimentary layers to help us. But we do have extant species that we can get DNA from. We can look at closely related species and track the mutations. We can determine the function of a protein encoded by a gene and see how it changes the form of a species. It would be wonderful to have a video to watch how every species on earth has changed, but we don't. So like a detective at the scene of a crime we must work backward from what we do know to glean the answer.

No, because 2000 years is far too short a time scale for something as complex as a human to change much, as per evolutionary theory. 'Modern Humans' i.e. humans that aren't noticably different in physical form & mental capacity from us today have, according to evolutionary theory, been around for about 100,000 years. If Jesus existed at all, he would have been a 'modern human', & thus no less primitice by comparison to a slug than you or I.

Just an aside though, so you know, Evolution doesnt state that organisms necessarily go from 'primitive' to 'advanced'. They just get better adapted to their environment. If the environment demands it, the creature might go from 'advanced' to 'primitive'. For example, creatures that live in caves & have over many generations lost their eyes because they don't need them in that environment.

There is no scientific theory, evolutionary or otherwise, that states life evolved out of rocks & lightning. Basically, the most commonly held scientific theory for the origin of life is this: Some proteins, when left to their own devices, self replicate. On primitive earth there were some of these proteins kicking about & self replicating. (now, note that you can't apply your 'where did these proteins evolve from' to this, because these proteins aren't actually alive. Theyre just naturally occuring molecules that replicate themselves.) Anyway, over time (a LOT of time) the proteins began to conform to the laws of natural selection & became more complex. Until, eventually we had single celled organisms meeting the definition of 'life'.

These laws are mostly talking about heat loss within a closed system, e.g. You make a cup of tea, leave it for half an hour & it goes cold. Rather than anything to do with the origin or continuation of life, which is what evolution deals with.

Everywhere. Every fossil you've ever seen is a transitional form.

Let me explain it like this. You have a two photographs of a man. One is from when he was a baby & one is from when he is an adult. You couldnt ask to see the 'transitional form' where he's half baby, half man, because he doesnt just magically turn into a fully grown adult overnight. Its a long, smooth, gradual process. Now lets say you had the skeleton of an animal & also the skeleton of the animal it evolved from. Now, lets say you somehow managed to find the skeleton of every one of those animals that had ever died, going back to the previous animal, & you lined them up next to each other. You would see a slow, gradual change from one into the other, but no skeleton would have half of one animal & half of the other. Thats just not how transitional forms work. The skeleton analogy is similar to having a photograph taken on every day of that man's life. You'd see him grow into a different form. But slowly & over time. Every photograph and every skeleton in the chain show a different transitional form.
