My question is, in creationest science, what explanation is given why, if I travel in a straight line I would end up where I started.

The only way to keep traveling and coming back where you started, is if you are traveling in a circle. Even a 3 year old knows this. Are you 2?

Just tell me this, if the world is flat then how does alaska see a month of pure sun that circles the horizon during the summer. Then during the winter they get a month of pure darkness, only in northern alaska.

Draw me a diagram of just how the sun does this on a flat earth without giving everyone a month of sun or darkness. I'd love to see it

From my house to Alaska is nearly 4,500 miles. The LORD has blessed me with good eyesight however even I cannot see that far. If I can't see the Sun then of course it will be dark here.

---- Alright the sun is about 93,000,000 miles from us on average. Since you did not draw a diagram I will.

----- The Earth's circumference is about 24,900 miles.

------ With all do respect I don't care how good of eyesight you have, even up in a plane you cannot see well over 200 miles. The sun is able to be seen easily from 93 million miles away.

------- Mount Everest is around 5.5 miles tall.

-------- Now in Roggebaai, South Africa at january first 2012, the sun went up to about 80 degrees in the sky for several hours. (If you use the link you'll have to put in the information)

--------- We'll stick with 80, it really only went to about 79ish but one degree isn't that big of a difference with how much we are looking at.

--------- Now South Africa is about perfectly halfway around the world, so it would be about 12,450 miles away.

------- Now stay with me, this diagram is accurate for either the 12,450 miles, or if you want to be stubborn and say the earth is 24,900 miles long. (it'd be easier if you gave me a number from one edge of the earth to the other)

-------- After looking at that diagram, do you really think that while in the winter when alaska is getting a month of darkness, that it is really possible for south Africa to be getting a sun almost straight up in the air?

------- Point being, if the sun is up at 80 degrees, even 70, or 45, those mountains, the extra 24,900 miles, are NOT going to make a difference. Alaska would get sun in the winter if the Earth was flat and south africa got their sun. However since our Earth is round, Alaska can get a month of darkness while south Africa gets 80 degree sun. This is ONLY possible on a round earth.

Friend, there is no possible way for that number to be correct. After all, that would take a very long measuring tape.

And of course, the earth is absolutely a flat circle. Anyone with any basic mathematical knowledge knows that a circle is a flat object.
