Because the Bible is scientifically inaccurate on every level. The Earth revolves around the sun. The Earth is round. You can directly observe BOTH.

Friend, will you politely show where the Bible says that the earth can be seen(key word here) going around the sun.

The Bible warns us of this sickular canspiracy against anything the Lord has done, so-called science, that you allude to.

Too bad the Bible isn't even God's true word. Only God can speak for himself by manifesting his own true words in our hearts. No filthy corrupt desert man could ever claim to know exactly what God wants from us.

The bible is a collection of corrupt, foolish, violent and disturbed men collaborating over what they WANT the word of God to be. Not to mention the Fable of Jesus being a story lifted almost directly from Egyptian religion, ie HORUS.

You're confused. The LORD clearly used the story of Horus to foreshadow the life of Christ. This is a literary device He used in a realistic sense. If you look closely, you'll see Horus was born of a virgin, Isis. He was the only begotten son of the God Osiris. His birth was heralded by the star Sirius, the morning star. Ancient Egyptians paraded a manger and child representing Horus through the streets at the time of the winter solstice (about DEC-21). Herut tried to have Horus murdered in his infancy.

Horus’ mother is told, “Come, thou goddess Isis, hide thyself with thy child.” An angel tells Jesus’ father to: “Arise and take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt.” There is no word of his life after the age of twelve, until he is baptized at age 30. His followers believed he walked on water, cast out demons, healed the sick, restored sight to the blind, was crucifed, descended into Hell, and was resurrected after three days. Can you see how similar this all is to the actual life of Christ? That's no mere coincidence, dear! That's the power of the Almighty!

Here's some proof the earth is round:

One of the oldest proofs of the Earth's shape, however, can be seen from the ground and occurs during every lunar eclipse. The geometry of a lunar eclipse has been known since ancient Greece. When a full Moon occurs in the plane of Earth's orbit, the Moon slowly moves through Earth's shadow. Every time that shadow is seen, its edge is round. Once again, the only solid that always projects a round shadow is a sphere.

You have made the basic mistake of assuming the moon glows due to reflected light, this is not so. The moon is it's own light source.

Isaiah 13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Isaiah 60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
God can turn off the glow how and when He likes.


We know this is the case also from the following scripture. If the darkening was due to an eclipse this would require a so called solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse at the same time, how would that be possible in the scientific model?

Revelation 8:12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.


Once more the KJV1611 proves science to be total rot.

• He was born in a swamp on the last day of the Egyptian Choiak which would be around the 27th or 28th of December, not the 25th.

• He spent his childhood hiding in the marshes from his brother, not sure where you're getting the teaching at the age of 12. He was a warrior, not a teacher.
• As for miracles, he was a mythological god. Oh, the stories don't give the Jesus miracles. In fact Horus (which one?) He conquered Seth (God of lower Egypt)
• He had a ministry?
• He had disciples? He was worshiped in temples like other pagan gods.
• He battled his brother Seth, he was not betrayed by anyone
• He left the earth and he and his brother Seth contend for the souls of this earth.
• He was never resurrected, because he never died.

You know what, before you go passing on garbage like this, perhaps you should actually check to see if any of it is true.

I have noticed several debates on this particular subject here. To all you godless atheists out there, let's settle this once and for all...

In the modern world it has become a widely spread lie that the earth is round. Of course, this is impossible. If the earth is round, then why don't people just fall off at the bottom?

The answer is simple: The Earth is not round!

Now, if we take a look at some scripture, it clearly tells us the earth is not round but flat:

Jeremiah 16:19:
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

According to Jeremiah 16:19, the earth has ends. There is no way a spherical earth could have ends, and therefore the earth must be flat. The Book of Revelation tells a similar story:

Revelation 7:1:
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

A spherical earth cannot have corners, it is scientifically impossible. The only logical explanation is that the earth is flat. Checkmate atheists!

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
