It is a fact that everything on earth has definite relatives either living nearby or evident in the fossil record.



It is a fact that the fossil record holds hundreds of definitely transitional species even according to it’s strictest definition, and that both microevolution and macroevolution have been directly-observed and are the same evolution.

This wasn't meant as a debate, it was meant as a consideration. An appeal.

But the link you gave me I could only read so far until I got to the "6 concepts of evolution."

5 and 6 are the same thing, evolution by natural selection

1 is the Big Bang and Cosmology, these have nothing to do with evolution, which is biological.

2 is Nuclear Fission

3 is just basic physics, concerning the equilibrium of stars and gas rings.

4 is Abiogenesis, which is biology, but not in the same branch as evolution.

I'm not going through and debunking all these other claims about evolution. The simple fact that this was taken from a Kent Hovind style context is enough for me to deem it unnecessary, considering Kent Hovind is one of the biggest mormons that can be encountered (or COULD be encountered) in the evolution-creation "debate."

And if this does turn into a debate, it was caused by you.

This was meant as a recognition and appeal to reason.

I feel a responsibility to defend science from those who have no concept value of what it is.

Biologists never said humans we see today directly from a modern monkey, ape, gorilla, etc. but of a common ancestor that divided the branch of primates we see today. I'm not trying to argue, but just clarifying a point.

Why do you feel responsibility in defending science? I thought science had all the proof and answers. "It has been proven" they say, why need to defend it then if it's the "ultimate truth"? It seems science needs some helpers to defend itself. Better yet, science doesn't work on it's own and doesn't have power of it's own. Instead, science needs humans! Humans created science, that's why you need to defend science since science is non-existent.

it's another branch of sciene. evolution deals with how life changed and changes over time. anything else is another division of science or another subdivision of biology.
